Celebrities have been stepping up their street style game with most A-lister events being canceled due to coronavirus.
Lucky for us, that means we can get an early preview of what these stars will be wearing for fall–and one trend is definitely worth mentioning: heeled flip flops. Celebrities love this “ugly” sandal trend, and we’re pretty sure they’re going to stick with it as long as the weather allows for open-toed shoes.
Katie Holmes is just one star who was caught sporting the trend, and she executed it perfectly. The 41-year-old tried out the look while stepping out with her daughter, Suri, in New York City. Holmes paired the tan heeled flip flops with a plaid maxi dress and navy face mask. The look accentuated the actress’ slim figure, and the heels helped show off her toned legs.
Although we might have been on the fence about this “ugly” sandal trend before, after seeing Katie’s take, we just might have to get on board.
