While the bride is the star of the show on the wedding day, the groom deserves to feel like appreciated too. If you're looking for ways to treat your groom like a king on your special day then we've got plenty of tips for you. We have five easy ways to make sure your new husband is a very happy groom on the big day.

Open bar

Serve Up His Favorite Drinks

While the groom might not care much about floral arrangements and escort cards, most grooms are pretty invested in the bar at the reception. If he's into something specific--such as specialty beers or Italian wines--make sure the bar is fully stocked with all of his faves.

Groom's cake

Get A Groom's Cake

While this is more of an old-fashioned tradition, presenting your groom with his very own cake at the reception is a thoughtful touch. Have the baker create one that showcases the groom's favorite sports team, hobby or even his alma mater.

Wrapped box

Give A Gift

Surprise him with a token of your love on the wedding day. It can be anything from a piece of jewelry (like a watch), a special tie for the wedding, or even a unique excursion you can do together on your honeymoon.

Write A Love Letter

Let's all make a pact to bring back love letters. I mean seriously, they're so sweet, and are definitely one of the most personal gifts you can give. Put your thoughts and feelings about getting to spend the rest of your life with this special man into words. It is something he will treasure for years to come.

Groom and friends

Make All Of His Friends Attend

While you might not be thrilled about his rowdy college friends coming to the wedding, if it's important to him that they be in attendance, don't fight it. You want him to look back and know all of the special people in his life were there.
