There was another historical moment that occurred at the White House earlier this week, as the Chinese president, President Xi Jinping, and his wife, Madame Peng Liyuan, completed their official state visit.
Their trip to America to meet with President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, and other prominent members of his administration marked the first visit from the Chinese president since the Obama administration in 2015. During their visit, the two presidents reportedly spoke about trade, artificial intelligence, and conflicts, and there was also the usual banquet dinner and other formal traditions.
During the welcome ceremony on Thursday, members of the Trump administration were dressed formally, and Second Lady Usha Vance stunned in a Saloni Fluer silk-satin royal blue midi-dress. The dress had a halter silhouette and no sleeves, with a cinched waist. She paired it with a simple pair of black pumps and wore her black hair down and straightened.
