It turns out you can be friends with your ex—according to Jennifer Aniston, at least. An insider recently revealed that the beloved Friends alum and her ex-beau Brad Pitt are still good pals. Naturally, fans are losing it over this new information about their favorite power duo.
Yup, that’s right! Believe it or not, Aniston and the Fight Club star are still maintaining a friendly relationship. “Brad and Jen are still friends,” the insider told Entertainment Tonight. “They talk and have a nice, friendly, cordial relationship.” Sounds ideal!

Their romance wasn’t exactly short-lived, either; these two have serious history. Before Pitt famously tied the knot with (and later divorced) Angelina Jolie, with whom he now shares six children, the heartthrob was married to Aniston for five years.
Pitt wasn’t the only one to remarry once it was all said and done. Aniston began her own second marriage in 2015, when she wed Justin Theroux for a short two years.
But now that these two mega-stars are both divorced and single again, is there any possibility that their long-lasting friendship will turn into something more? Much to the dismay of many fans, the inside source says there’s no chance, noting that they “aren’t getting back together, but they have a lot of respect for each other.”

Fans have a lot to say on the matter. Many took to Instagram to make their voices heard in comments. “He should have never left her, so stupid..” one said. “They were just the best!” another gushed. “I can’t stand Angelina so Jennifer was a great fit! Sad they didn’t stay together with their kids,” someone else commented.
However, not everyone showed support for this relationship. “Hope she doesn’t get back together with him,” one comment reads. “She’s very forgiving,” another observed.
“I can’t believe some people think that it’s a good Idea for these two to get back together… the fact that she is speaking with him is generous enough…” one commenter with very strong feelings quipped. “Lets not forget the way he treated her, very few people were betrayed and publicly humiliated by their spouse like she was… it was a long ago, but come on,” they continued. Honestly, we respect the loyalty to Jen!
Regardless of how fans feel about the former couple, it’s refreshing to see that exes can let bygones be bygones. But it looks like Pitt should watch his back when he comes around Aniston fans—they seem to be holding a grudge more than she is!
