Kanye West has deleted every single Instagram post about Kim Kardashian and their four children – North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 2 – following his estranged ex-wife’s recent Instagram post about the “hurtful” comments he made about her parenting style on social media. Is this his way of extending an olive branch to the former KUWTK star?!
The 41-year-old KKW Beauty founder was forced to make the heartbreaking Instagram post after the 44-year-old rapper, now officially known as Ye, criticized her for allowing their eight-year-old daughter North West to be on TikTok, saying she was on the social media platform “against my will.” He also, in the course of the next few days, accused Kim of kidnapping their daughter Chicago, and suggested that Kim once accused him of putting “a hit out on her” among other things. It was a very eventful few days in the Kardashian/West family, let’s put it that way!
Part of Kim's Instagram message, following Kanye's comments about their daughter being on the @kimandnorth TikTok account Kim and North share, read: "Kanye’s constant need for attacking me in interviews and on social media is actually more hurtful than any TikTok North might create. As the parent who is the main provider and caregiver for our children, I am doing my best to protect our daughter while also allowing her to express her creativity in the medium that she wishes with adult supervision — because it brings her happiness."
The Donda rapper didn’t take kindly to the comments about the SKIMS founder being the "main provider and caregiver," and then proceeded to slam her for forcing him to undergo drug testing, while also referencing the fact that he allegedly wasn’t allowed to attend daughter Chicago's fourth birthday party last month. "What do you mean by main provider?" Ye wrote, in response to Kim's Instagram message. "America saw you try to kid nap my daughter on her birthday by not providing the address."
Right-wing media personality Candace Owens seemingly took Kanye's side and commented on the situation on Twitter, which Kanye couldn’t wait to share with his 11.1 million followers on Instagram. In reference to North being on TikTok, Owens wrote: "There is no 8-year-old in the world that needs social media. Go color."
"Thank you, Candace, for being the only noteworthy person to speak on this issue," Kanye wrote in the since-deleted Instagram post, next to the screenshots of Owens' original tweet. "There's a lot of celebrities scared to say something in public, but they'll text me in private and say they're on my side."
Kanye went on to add: "I will no longer put my hand through a blender to hug my children. My mother took me to Chicago when I was 3 and told my dad if he came to Chicago he would never see me again so I bought the house next door. I dream of a world where dads can still be heroes."
Another one of Ye's since-deleted messages in those eventful few days read: "Yesterday Kim accused me of putting a hit out on her. So let me get this straight. I beg to go to my daughter's party and I'm accused of being on drugs, then I go play with my son and I take my Akira graphic novels and I'm accused of stealing. Now I'm being accused of putting a hit on her. These ideas can actually get someone locked up. They play like that with Black men's lives, whether it's getting them free or getting them locked up. I'm not playing about my Black children anymore."
