Things appear to be going from bad to worse for Kelly Clarkson and her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, ever since they ended their seven-year-marriage in the summer of last year. According to insiders, The Voice coach “isn’t ready to play nice” with the 44-year-old music manager, and has shot down his requests to spend the holidays together for the sake of their children – 7-year-old daughter River Rose, and 5-year-old son Remington Alexander. Yikes!

The 39-year-old “Stronger” singer currently has primary custody of the children, and sources are claiming that she really doesn’t want to include her ex in their upcoming holiday celebrations. An insider told OK! that Brandon “is urging Kelly to put aside their differences and celebrate the holidays together with their kids. But she has zero desire to be on civil terms with him and isn’t ready to play nice.”

FYI, Brandon has two other children from his previous marriage to Melissa Ashworth – 19-year-old daughter Savannah, and 14-year-old son, Seth. Although it's sad, we're actually not too surprised to hear that the "Since U Been Gone" singer doesn’t want to spend any longer with her ex than she has to, as the pair have gone through quite the messy divorce, with many disagreements over spousal and child support, among other things.

According to People, the American Idol winner is required to pay her ex around $200,000 per month in spousal and child support; $150,000 in spousal support, and $45,601 in child support to be exact. The "Because of You" singer has opened up about her struggles with the divorce and co-parenting several times, so we understand that any decisions she makes that involve the children must be really difficult for her.

Earlier this year, Kelly spoke to Khloé Kardashian – who was, at the time, separated from three-year-old daughter True Thompson's father, Tristan Thompson – about how "tough" co-parenting can be. "I know with me and Brandon, it's just a difficult thing because we're in different places, and it's like, we both agree on the main things, but it's hard thing when you're not together all the time, for me personally," she told Khloé back in February, before adding that her and Brandon's main focus was and always will be the children.

"As long as you make sure it's about the children and their best interests, then we're both on board," she added. That doesn’t sound like what she is currently doing, if OK!'s source's comment is anything to go by, but we hope that she and Brandon will be able to come to an amicable agreement soon. The children deserve it!
