Kim Kardashian may have teamed up with Law Roach, the longtime stylist behind many of Zendaya’s most celebrated fashion moments, but fans aren’t necessarily convinced the collaboration is working in her favor.
The reality star recently stepped out at the All’s Fair Season 2 premiere in Mexico City wearing a custom ivory-white Schiaparelli Fall 2026 Haute Couture gown. While the look featured plenty of dramatic details and high-fashion artistry, it quickly became a talking point online, with critics questioning whether the outfit was particularly flattering on her.
The structured gown featured a sculpted ivory-white silicone- or latex-style bustier with a deep plunging neckline and dramatic cutouts. Its skirt featured an architectural, high-waisted silhouette with horizontal textured tiers, glossy fringe details, and sheer polka-dot mesh underneath.

The mom of four completed the ensemble with white Jimmy Choo Max platform sandals, styling her hair in a sleek center part and opting for clean, sultry makeup.
Although the outfit was undeniably a statement piece, many social media users weren't impressed with the final result.
Kim officially debuted her professional styling partnership with Law Roach in September 2026, marking a major fashion collaboration for the SKIMS founder.
Roach first styled her for the opening-night gala of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles, where she wore an archival Yves Saint Laurent Fall 2004 gown.
Since then, the celebrity stylist has helped the 45-year-old put together looks for several high-profile appearances and promotional events, often leaning into extravagant archival pieces and unconventional silhouettes.
Roach is widely recognized for his work with Zendaya, whom he has styled for some of the most memorable red-carpet appearances of her career. His ability to create fashion-forward, conversation-starting looks has earned him considerable praise in the industry.

Fans React
However, despite the excitement surrounding his partnership with Kardashian, not everyone believes the stylist is bringing out the best in her fashion choices.
Following her latest appearance, critics took to social media to share their reactions, with some questioning the gown's fit and overall silhouette.
“Awful.” one person commented on Reddit.
Another wrote, “I just think it doesn’t fit her as well as it should, especially when you look at slide 8. It just doesn’t look good at all.”
A third critic was even more blunt, saying, “It looks like she's dressed as a cracked wisdom tooth for Halloween.”
“It's simply not flattering on her. I do believe Kim can be styled well, and I don't think Law is the right person,” another person remarked.
Others suggested they weren't particularly impressed with Kardashian's recent fashion direction.
“I usually dislike what she wears, but I HATE what she's been wearing lately,” one user wrote. “There is something genuinely distressing to me about that skirt,” another commenter added.
On Instagram, the reaction was the same. "It's giving armadillo," said one user.
Not everyone was entirely against the look, however. One person acknowledged its artistic elements while questioning whether the design worked on Kardashian, writing, “I like the artistry of the dress but unfortunately I don’t think it works here. Otherwise I appreciate that she took a risk. Hopefully she and Law can find their footing as client and stylist.”
While Roach's styling partnership with Kardashian is still relatively new, her latest red-carpet appearance has already sparked plenty of debate about whether the two are finding the right fashion formula.
