For the main cover shot, Fox shimmered in a silver beaded, jeweled piece with gold plate details and coins as she posed kneeling in the sand with crystal-clear, blue waters surrounding her. She wore her signature long, shiny black tresses down, parted to the side and styled into effortless, beachy, loose waves.

Fox Opens Up About Body Dysmorphia And Learning To Love Herself

When sitting down with the outlet as seen in a new video, Fox opened up about wanting her inside qualities to be seen and cherished as much as her outer beauty is as a style icon. “The first thing anyone notices about someone is going to have something to do with their physical appearance,” she said, adding, “it’s inevitable, you can’t get around that.

Fox went on, “I wish everyone noticed my aura because I have a rainbow aura and it’s special.” She also noted that shooting the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover felt like “a lot of pressure.”

She also detailed how body image is still something she struggles with, and many fans online found this to be “relatable” and “appreciated” her honesty, as seen on Twitter recently. “I have body dysmorphia — I don’t ever see myself the way other people see me,” Fox said. “There’s never a point in my life where I loved my body, never, ever.”

Fox continued, “When I was little, that was an obsession I had of, like, but I should look this way,” she explained. “And why I had an awareness of my body that young I’m not sure, and it definitely wasn’t environmental because I grew up in a very religious environment where bodies weren’t even acknowledged.” Fox also said that “the journey of loving myself is going to be never-ending, I think.”
