Michelle Obama was one of the many political figures who joined Kamala Harris on her campaign trail as she sought to beat Donald Trump in the presidential election. For her annual post wishing her fans a happy holiday season, the former First Lady acknowledged that for many, this is not a very “happy” holiday season, and sought to uplift some of those individuals with a post celebrating the work of many young “changemakers” to inspire hope.

Michelle Obama Posts Her Holiday Message
“Happy holidays!” she began in the video. “I know it’s been a difficult few months for so many of us—and folks are feeling a little bit anxious and uncertain. But even during these tough times, there are plenty of reasons to stay hopeful.”
In her caption, she wrote “I wanted to share some reflections on the work the Obama Foundation is doing to lift up the young change-makers around the world,” and filled the rest of the video with clips of different people around the world and the different work they’ve done over the recent months.” An innocent video, one would think, but it seems it fell to the wrong audience.

Social Media Users Aren't Impressed
While there were many users who praised the 60-year-old, leaving comments like, "Keep up the good work, Madame Michelle! It's so needed," others weren't as impressed.
"Can you just go away and enjoy your millionaire lifestyle and stop with your political corruption!" one person commented.
"No anxiety," another wrote. "Glad you and Biden are out of our lives. Please stop your divisive posts. Good bye."
"Thanks for your gloomy video," a final user posted. "You and your elitist husband can go into retirement now."
