Oprah Winfrey has a little advice for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex ahead of King Charles’ coronation on May 6th. At the time of publishing, it’s still not confirmed whether Prince Harry, 38, and Meghan Markle, 41, will attend the coronation, which coincidentally falls on their son Archie’s fourth birthday, even though they have now “received email correspondence from His Majesty’s office regarding the coronation.”

A spokesperson for the couple told The Times earlier this month: “An immediate decision on whether the Duke and Duchess will attend will not be disclosed by us at this time.” The teases!

Oprah Winfrey Gives Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Advice About King Charles' Coronation

Oprah has quite some history with the Sussexes; not only was she one of the many A-list guests invited to their royal wedding back in May 2018, but she of course was behind the bombshell infamous interview that aired in March 2021, whereby they made all sorts of allegations against the royal family.

One of the biggest bombshells was that an unnamed family member had "concerns" about "how dark" their son Archie's "skin might be when he was born," while the former Suits actress also alleged that she struggled with her mental health before stepping down as a working royal and was unable to get the help she needed.

Oprah discussed the forthcoming coronation during an interview with Gayle King – who actually attended Meghan's exclusive and extravagant baby shower in New York in 2019 – on CBS Mornings on Tuesday, March 14th, when King asked her: "Do you think they should go? Do you think they should not go? Is it something you’d like to comment on?"

"I think they should do what they feel is best for them and their family," Oprah replied, while also reiterating that she hasn’t directly spoken to the couple about the coronation. "That’s what I think," she continued. "That’s what the bottom line comes down to. What do you feel like is the right thing for you? They haven't asked me my opinion."

Will Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Attend The Coronation?

The Telegraph previously reported that the Sussexes were "weighing up the logistics" alongside the "personal implications" of attending the coronation in May, amidst the fallout over Prince Harry's bombshell memoir, Spare, the fact that Prince Harry desperately wants an apology from his family, and their recent eviction from Frogmore Cottage.

According to a March 15th New York Post article, the late Princess Diana's former butler Paul Burrell, 64, hinted that we shouldn’t rule out the possibility of Prince Harry attending the coronation alone, as he feels Meghan won’t be "brave enough" to attend. Yikes! "It’s likely to be incredibly uncomfortable for them if they attend, particularly Meghan,” Burrell told Closer Magazine.

"Are they prepared to face the music? I don’t think Meghan’s brave or strong enough to be there – she’d have to look in the eyes of a family she’s pushed under the bus," he continued. "But I think Harry may come alone and she’s probably told him she won’t be able to be by his side with him if he does attend."

Have Prince Harry And Meghan Markle's Children Been Invited To The Coronation?

Despite the coronation falling on their son Prince Archie's fourth birthday, it's still currently unclear whether he and his younger sister Princess Lilibet will receive an invitation, despite their Prince and Princess titles officially being confirmed and updated on the Royal Family website earlier this month.

One royal source, per the Independent, hinted that age might have something to do with it, noting that Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet are still "very young," as Prince William and Kate Middleton were once "pondering" over whether their youngest child, four-year-old son Prince Louis, should attend due to his age. The Daily Mail has since reported that all of the Prince and Princess of Wales' children, Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4, are expected to walk in the procession.

Interestingly, according to the Independent, the Sussexes were told that Archie and Lilibet's role in the coronation would only be discussed once they had confirmed their own attendance, but as things stand, Buckingham Palace staff have reportedly been told to work on the basis that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex *will* be coming. Interesting! Let's not rule out the fact that Prince Harry and Meghan *could* have already confirmed their attendance in secret, as they did regarding the late Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee last year, with the news not reaching the public just yet.
