Pamela Anderson was a notable guest at this year’s Venice Film Festival, and though her bare face tends to grab people’s attention, this time, it was her hair.

The iconic actress attended this year’s festivities in Venice to celebrate the premiere of her film, A Place To Be. As per usual, she walked the red carpet with little to no makeup on, continuing her mission to show off her natural beauty and break today’s beauty standards. However, her blonde hair captured people’s attention this time, and it garnered negative attention, as social media users thought it was styled in a super unflattering way. Read more about one of her Venice looks and how the internet reacted below.

Pamela Anderson Poses For 'Place To Be' Venice Film Festival Photocall

The Baywatch icon attended the 2026 Venice Film Festival to promote her upcoming film Place to Be, in which she stars alongside Ellen Burstyn, Taika Waititi and Maika Monroe. The film follows an unexpected friendship between a middle-aged man and an elderly woman as they travel from Chicago to New York to return a lost racing pigeon.

For the film's photocall on Wednesday, September 9th, she wore a romantic pale blue Monse midi dress featuring a delicate floral and pear print, a plunging neckline, and sheer fabric. The dress also featured large bows at the shoulders and was paired with a matching mesh shawl and pointed white pumps, giving the look a soft, feminine feel.

Her blonde hair, which was previously dyed red, was styled in loose, voluminous waves that fell around her shoulders. She wore her hair with a relaxed, tousled finish, with face-framing pieces and her bangs swept softly to the side.

Social Media Users Slam Pamela's Hair After Her Venice Film Fest Photos Go Viral

Though many were excited to see her new film project be celebrated, social media users were less impressed with the 59-year-old's hairstyle, with some slamming the tousled look for appearing too messy and unkempt for a major film festival photocall.

While the voluminous, bedhead-inspired style was seemingly meant to give her a relaxed, effortless feel, some online commenters felt it looked unfinished and not polished enough to complement her otherwise elegant look.

"I think this is a rare miss for her," commented a user on Reddit. "I don't like the hair at all! It's weirdly poofy, and the color of the dress washes her out."

"The hair looks over-processed and dry," responded another. "It clashes with the relaxed natural look of the rest of the styling."

"I don't like this at all," a critic added. "What is happening with her hair? The dress makes her look too grandmotherly."

"This hair makes it look like she just got out of bed," wrote another. "Not the best look."
