Dakota Johnson Debuts Micro-Bangs At The Kering Foundation Dinner In NYC
One of the more noteworthy philanthropic celebrity events each year is the Kering Foundation Caring for Women Dinner, a star-studded charity gala in New York City that raises money to fight against gender-based violence and give support to survivors.
This year, on Thursday, September 10th, there were numerous female celebrities in attendance who turned heads with their elegant looks for the evening. The Fifty Shades actress was one of them, and she stunned in a gothic, fall-coded black dress. It was a velvet Valentino gown with a large keyhole cutout that went down her torso. It had a long, drapey silhouette with sleeves, no back, and a cape with a green sequined hood. She paired the dress with a sparkling statement necklace and a matching black manicure.
Though her dress was head-turning enough, many fans and other internet users ended up focusing on her new bangs, which were considered a set of choppy microbangs, alongside her usual flowing, dark locks.

Fans Slam Dakota's New Bangs On Social Media
After pictures of the 36-year-old actress at the dinner were shared on various platforms, it didn't take long for users and fans of hers to start weighing in on her look.
Dakota's been sporting bangs for numerous years now, often receiving comments on her long hair, especially since she went from being a natural dirty blonde to dyeing it a dark brunette color. However, her bangs were noticeably different, given their microbang length, and in several photographs, they looked a bit uneven, which prompted a lot of online backlash.
One Reddit user called the bangs "crazy" and asked, "Why are they just unevenly chopped?"
"They're usually perfect," responded another. "Who cut them?"
"Horrible hair," wrote one user.
"Her bangs are usually bang-envy territory, and they're too short here," a fan commented.
"The bangs were the first thing I noticed, considering they're usually so beautifully styled," wrote another. "This isn't it."
