Prince Harry, 38, and Meghan Markle, 41, are already starting to see the downsides of alienating their family on both sides. Not only has Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle, sided with her estranged half-sister Samantha Markle (and agreed to do so in the courts too!) but Prince Harry has felt the effects with his own family too.

Not being allowed to wear his military uniform to his grandmother’s funeral and being left out of his father King Charles’ coronation pictures last month are just two of the growing list of consequences Prince Harry has had to face due to his and Meghan’s actions recently. But now, a journalist has warned that the consequences won’t just affect them, but will also affect their two children – Prince Archie, 4, and Princess Lilibet, 2.

Former 'Vanity Fair' Editor Says Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Will 'Live To Regret' Alienating Families

In an interview with The Telegraph, Graydon Carter, who served as editor of Vanity Fair from 1992 to 2017, hinted that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will "live to regret" the royal family rift – even more so as it starts to affect their two children!

"Harry and Meghan are just fascinating concepts," Carter said. "They’ve done something they’ll live to regret, which is their children have no relatives."

"They have no cousins that they see, or uncles or aunts, and they don’t see grandparents, except for one," the Canadian journalist continued, with the grandparent he was referencing being Meghan's mom, Doria Ragland, who the couple and their children see regularly. "That will come back to haunt them at a certain point," he added.

Elsewhere in the interview, Carter deemed that Harry and Meghan "have too much attention," adding, "For people like that, unavailability is your greatest asset. If you’re out there too much, the public has a chance to get sick of you." And he might be onto something, as we've definitely seen one or two social media posts over the months (although it’s more likely years) that suggest that the public are "sick" of Harry and Meghan!
