Last week, Lady Sarah, 69, made a very rare public appearance in Cranwell, Lincolnshire, England, to show her support for her nephew, Prince William. Royal expert Rebecca English, reported the sighting on X, formerly Twitter, writing. "Also present was Prince William's aunt, Lady Sarah McCorquodale, sister of Diana, Princess of Wales. I'm told she heard he was in the area and wanted to support him."
A nice, innocent gesture, right? Stepping in to support Prince William as he continues to do his royal duties and his fatherly duties as his father, King Charles, and wife, Kate Middleton, continue to fight their respective battles against cancer. Well, Prince Harry didn't think so.
Prince Harry 'Secretly' Stays In Contact With Princess Diana's Family
While engaged in a very public rift from his immediate family, Prince Harry has apparently been keeping close to Princes Diana's living relatives, specifically Lady Sarah McCorquodale and her sister, Lady Jane Fellowes. According to the New York Post, Harry is "secretly" in contact with them.
"Quietly, behind the scenes, it is obvious that [Princess Diana's] family have kept the communication channels open with Harry and that their affection for him is reciprocated, royal expert Jennie Bond says.
Perhaps he thought this secret relationship was limited to him, and not his brother, because he is seeing Lady Sarah McCorquodale's appearance at Prince William's recent public engagement as a "major blow."
