Even though your wedding dress is the main component of your wedding day ensemble, that doesn't mean your veil should get overlooked. Choosing the right veil needs to be at the top of your wedding checklist since it's going to be a crucial accessory when you walk down the aisle. Saying 'yes' to the perfect veil can be almost as challening as finding the wedding dress of your dreams, so take your time and choose wisely. While you're on the veil hunt, avoid this one major detail that brides often forget.

You'll debut your veil during the ceremony and for wedding photos, but most brides ditch their veils before the reception. No one wants a massive piece of tulle in their way while busting a move on the dance floor. But, this tiny detail tends to get overlooked when brides go veil shopping. So, by the time the reception rolls around, the blushing bride lacks any form of hair accessories.

Even if you've found a veil that matches your dress perfectly and looks flawless with your wedding hairdo, keep in mind that your hair will lack that extra oomph if you decide to take your veil off during the reception. While you veil shop, simultaneously be on the lookout for any small adornments or jewels to fasten in your hair. This will help balance your wedding day look and add a little sparkle to your 'do.

Make sure that you budget accordingly if you plan to invest in extra hair accessories. You need to account for your veil in your wedding budget, too. This might seem like a trival expense but, believe it or not, veils can cost at least $200 or more.

When shopping for veils, the ultimate tip is try it on with your entire wedding day look, hair and all. Make sure you also try on any hair adornments you plan to bust out for the reception with your dress. Secure both your veil and any other accessories with bobby pins, and you're set for the big day!
