What: Out-Ease Struts, $12.95 for a package of 5
Why: How often has this happened to you?: You're strutting to work in a pair of beautiful new sling backs (say the Marc by Marc Jacobs Chain Posted Sling Back Pumps, for example), a look of smug, 'you are so jealous of my shoes' look on your face, when all of a sudden…your pant hem gets caught between your heel and the shoe. Smug moment over. Strutting terminated. You're forced to stop, awkwardly yank out the hem of your pants, and sheepishly continue on to work as women—who only moments earlier looked on in envy—now smile to themselves as you struggle with this maddening and all-too-common problem in the working woman's life: the trapped pant leg. At a loss for how to deal with this frustrating phenomenon myself, I had stopped wearing the offending shoes altogether—no more sling backs, no more mules, no more wedges. That was, until I came across a nifty little device called Out-Ease Struts. Really, it couldn't be easier: you simply remove the adhesive backing and place the strip on the bottom back center of your pant hem. When you're done with the strip, peel it off and throw it away. I can tell you—hypothetically, of course—that our girl is back to strutting to work in those beautiful Marc Jacobs sling backs.
