Fashion is no small part of NBC's new series Lipstick Jungle , and we're happy to sit back and enjoy the view. While the women in Jungle's predecessor Sex and the City wore some steal-worthy styles, the wardrobes of Lipstick Jungle's leading ladies are much more wearable. (Remember those hot pants Carrie wore to Samantha’s rooftop barbecue? Not so much.) Below, some picks we’d like to see each character sport in the future – or, make like a Jungle dweller and snatch them up for yourself. And when you're done shopping like the characters, check out our guides for more ideas on how to pull off Wendy's proper professional look, maintain a social calendar like Victory's in an array of night-out outfits, or score a statement bag like Nico – at any price point.
A working mom like Wendy Healy (Brooke Shields) needs reliable, well-tailored work clothes, like the suits we saw her in on the first episode. Piazza Sempione’s Wool Two-Button Jacket ($980) and Straight Leg Pants ($450) would be perfect additions. Worn with Theory’s Sleeveless Top ($190), the outfit could transition seamlessly from Wendy’s office to drinks with the girls. Topped off with this Laminated Linen Trench from Tahari ($450), the ensemble embodies Wendy’s tailored professional persona.
Fashion designer Victory Ford (Lindsay Price) knows how to make runway-ready pieces work in real life, and her big, bold accessories do well to accent her fashion-forward look. We think she’d wear this Feather-Accented Catherine Malandrino Minidress ($545) out with her millionaire man Joe (Andrew McCarthy). Add spunky python pumps ($560) and this substantial envelope clutch ($218) for a look that says, “Oh, I know the designer.”
Nico Reilly (Kim Raver) has to look just as fabulous as the models in the pages of Bonfire Magazine, and her classy, body-conscious clothes do just the trick. This pencil skirt ($308) and silk top ($240) combo convey Nico’s sophisticated sexiness. Add a bold patent tote by Yves Saint Laurent ($1,295) to stash Bonfire page proofs and other editorial essentials.
With all the action around Victory's jet-setting and Nico's naughty younger man, we bet they could have used some chic luggage and figure-flattering lingerie to get through last night's episode! For even more great lingerie looks, check out our guides to the best bras, underwear, and shapewear.
