Women Are Swapping Their Boring Water For This Ice Pop Electrolyte Mix!

A few months ago I was searching for a pair of mules at Nordstrom when I came across M4D3. I kept finding myself drawn to all their styles. I’d never heard of the brand before then, so I decided to look them and whoa… This is a shoe company unlike others.

In addition to making really cool shoes, M4D3 also partners with charitable organizations to make an impact. For example, for every pair of M4D3 shoes you by right now, the company will donate two books to a child in need through their nonprofit partner, First Book. Pretty cool, right?

Because they’re doing such inspiring work, we couldn’t pass up to get to know more about this amazing brand and the team behind it. Here’s what M4D3’s President Scott Kaminsky had to say about their revolutionary new company.

SHEfinds: Talk to us about M4D3? What prompted you to start the collection?

Scott Kaminsky: We have corporately been moved by small businesses making an impact in their community, that we wanted to create a global platform that would do the same. So we created this social enterprise, M4D3, which stands for Make A Difference Everyday, and in order to expand our reach to create social change, we partner with various impactful individuals, charities, and aid organizations to help raise funds, while creating a quality product.

SF: Is your background in shoes?

SK: I’ve been in shoes most of my life. The shoe business is such a small rewarding community and I now have the chance to do what I love, in a great industry, and participate with amazing ‘giving organizations’.

SF: M4D3 has a great charitable component? Why did you feel compelled to do this?

SK: Yes, as mentioned, we are a social enterprise creating products with a purpose. We partner with impactful individuals, charities, and aid organizations to raise funds and help create social change. It’s important to give back, so this year we partnered First Book, and for every pair of shoes sold we donate two books to a child in need through our nonprofit partner. In the past we have partnered with organizations such as Christina Applegate’s Foundation, True Colors Fund, Partnership for a Healthier America, No Ceilings, Peta, and Too Small to Fail.

SF: Talk to us about the shoes-what inspires the designs and styles?

SK: M4D3 shoes are our team’s creative interpretation of current and upcoming fashion trends. We have a amazing attention to detail, which is key to making our styles distinguishable.

SF: What’s been the hardest part of launching a new shoe collection?

SK: Our giving model has distinguished the brand and made us different. It’s always challenging launching a brand but we have partnered with great retailers and anticipate continues growth.

SF: Any plans to expand beyond shoes?

SK: Possibly. Our model could work across many product categories.

SF: If you weren’t running M4D3, what would you be doing?

SK: I’m having so much fun right now, with such a great team, I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.

SF: What’s the must have shoe from the latest collection and why?

SK: The Super. It’s our sneaker elevated interpretation of the trend this season.

SF: What have been the bestselling styles?

SK: Of course the Super, our Slide version of the Super, our Alice wedge, and Capri sandal. These styles have resonated well with both our customer base and with our retailers.
