The 125 Best New Beauty Launches Of 2023

image

It takes a larger-than-life woman to part with her larger-than-life jewels. But then again, maybe actress Ellen Barkin‘s savvy decision to auction off her jewels gathered over the course of her marriage to Revlon Chairman Ronald Perelman is the most polite form of revenge, but revenge all the same. [via NY Times]

The actress plans to use the funds generated from the sale to start her own production company. The collection is valued at over $15 million (Can’t buy me love?) and will be handled by Christie’s. Ready to bid? The pieces go to the auction block on October 10.

Dreaming Big: Standout pieces all, but a 32-carat apricot diamond ring and 17 pieces designed by Parisian designer JAR (he only makes 80 – 90 pieces per year), an emerald bead necklace and a classic, multi-strand pearl necklace top the list that is a “who’s who” of designer gems like Bulgari, Fred Leighton, Buccellati…dream on ladies, dream on.
