Here’s Your First Sneak Peak at Gwyneth Paltrow’s Stunning Engagement Ring!

A new year means a new start - especially for Gwenyth Paltrow, who recently announced her engagement to American Horror story producer Brad Falchuk. The couple appeared on the cover of Goop magazine's second edition to share their exciting news. In the shot, Brad stands behind his lady, who sports a matching white T-shirt and ear-to-ear grin. While Gwen's ring is hidden from the camera, we get a close-up view of the stunning sparkler inside the magazine - and we honestly can't stop drooling over it. As Brad pulls his fiancée in for a kiss on the cheek, Gwen strategically show off her giant rock. But it's not the diamond you'd expect. Rather, it appears to be a large gemstone (possibly a sapphire or ruby) surrounded by a simple band. @gwynethpaltrow is engaged! 💍🥂🍾 Click the #linkinbio to learn about her engagement ring from Brad Falchuk and on how she found love again. 📷 @etalkctv A post shared by BridalPulse (@bridalpulse) on Jan 9, 2018 at 11:07am PST In the issue, Gwen admits that she and Brad have already been engaged for a year but were just now ready to tell the world about it. It hasn't always been an easy journey for Gwen, though, who shares that she struggled letting someone into her life after her "conscious uncoupling" from Chris Martin. "Personally, at midlife, I have tried to accept how complex romantic love can be. I have decided to give it a go again, not only because I believe I have found the man I was meant to be with, but because I have accepted the soul-stretching, pattern-breaking opportunities that (terrifyingly) are made possible by intimacy," she wrote of Brad. "For the first time, I feel like I'm in an adult relationship that is sometimes very uncomfortable—because he sort of demands a certain level of intimacy and communication that I haven't been held to before. What came up in the first couple of years of our relationship was how incapable I was in this realm—how I feared intimacy and communication." Shortly before the issue's release, the couple officially confirmed their engagement to Good Morning America. "We feel incredibly lucky to have come together at this juncture in our lives when our collective successes and failures can serve as building blocks for a healthy and happy relationship," they said in a joint statement. We're so happy for Gwen and her new man! There's no doubt that the couple's wedding will be one for the books. After all, Gwen always has some quirky ideas up her sleeves (in fact, we can't help but wonder if those infamous jade eggs will make their way into the wedding favors). In the meantime, you can pick up the "Love & Sex" issue of Goop to get the full scoop on the couple's exciting story. Kim Kardashian’s 20-Carat Ring = 3.41 Carats For Each Month Of Their Relationship

Now that the world knows that Kim Kardashian is engaged, we have to be subjected to photos of her back-breaking 20.5-carat emerald-cut engagement ring. Unbelievably, it's even bigger than Kate Hudson's ring - which is massive. This is evidence that 1) we pay professional athletes too much, and 2) Kim earned approximately 3.41 carats per month of dating. The closest we're going to get is this Georges Fun Factory 10,000 Carat Ring ($12.99) from Ricky's or a ring pop. Best Find Of The Day: A Dress For All Seasons

I like it when my clothing can multitask for me without having to think too hard about it. That's why this Juicy Couture silk-blend paisley print dress ($180) caught my eye. Obviously, dresses are a cinch to accessorize, making them priceless when you need to get out the door fast. But this cotton-silk blend dress has three added benefits, which are the weight, cut, and color. It's lightweight and roomy throughout the torso and lower body so that you can layer leggings and a long-sleeve top underneath. Add a chunky sweater, tall boots and a scarf to stay stylishly warm the winter. Come spring, wear it with shorts or solo to show off the 3/4-length sleeves and deep V-neck. Pair it with flats or sandals for a boho chic look on the weekends. In a neutral gray color, which is a go-to hue during the cold months, it easily transitions into warmer days. Looking for more transition dresses that work for winter fashion and summer style? See our guide to dresses, plus many more finds for all shapes and sizes.

How To Wear: Bold Prints At The Office (Without Looking Wild)

Spring trends are, naturally, all about reviving color and putting aside the monochrome grays and blacks of the winter. This year, designers have set out a number of (almost frighteningly) bold prints and floral-inspired hues for Spring 2010 that are gracing everything from handbags and shoes to tunics and tops. Some seem wearable, others just make me want to cower into a corner until next fall. Nonetheless, there is a way to wear a bold and colorful print, like this aqua tie dye top,  and get noticed for it in the right way. Always keep the rest of the outfit simple with clean, classic lines and neutral accents. Let the bright print be the centerpiece of the outfit and the rest, like a streamlined cardigan and polished khaki pants, will fall into place. With a sleeveless, summery top, you can still cover up with a sweater from 9 to 5, and then flaunt bare skin after dark. Finally, give the look a final touch with a great pair of modern sandals. Fashion Math: Is $180 For A Red-Carpet-Worthy Clutch Worth The Splurge?

A sparkling accessory, like an evening clutch, can no doubt complete your outfit for a wedding, holiday party, or festive soiree. But really, how often do you actually attend one of these events? With the holidays, wedding season, birthdays, and business events combined, I can still count all of these special occasions on two hands. But factor in nights out with the girls for some drinks and I think this splurge might very well be worth it. Let's do the Fashion Math: This BCBG MAXAZRIA Sequined Mesh Bow Clutch ($178) shown above may not be suitable for day-time events, but it will cover all of your fall and winter evenings. Plus, you can wear it to a black-tie wedding without the optional chain strap, or dress it down by pairing it with jeans. Trade in your morning coffee for home-made brew once a week for nine months and you've already paid for this so-called splurge. Sate your fashion lust with more fashion math items worth the splurge, the best handbags, clutches, affordable purses, and more.

Fashion Week, Faux Fur and Frock Fiascos on RZP This Week

Want to experience the essence of New York Fashion Week but don't think you'll ever make it to Bryant Park? The Rachel Zoe Project's token fashion minion Brad pretty much sums it up: "You start the day wearing a pom-pom hat and end the night at a party with Lindsay Lohan." That's how Fashion Week went for Rach and Brad — they show-hopped, taking in Rag & Bone and Matthew Williamson, got sneak peeks at Diane Von Furstenberg's and Marchesa's collections, and went to "Fashion Church," i.e. a private meeting with Giorgio Armani himself, to dish about Anne Hathaway's Oscar dress. (Want to know how the whole taffeta train debacle plays out? Spoiler alert here!) Rachel made a lot of sweeping "every girl" statements this episode. Leather leggings are apparently the "next 'it' look that every girl has to have." I'm not so sure I "have to have" the $1,668 Rag & Bone pair, but cameo party guest Lindsay Lohan's 6126 line makes an $98 faux pair. And speaking of faux, Rachel talked shop with the folks at QVC about launching a line of faux fur outerwear that I thought was ah-mazing. I might be able to wait for Rachel's line to hit the airwaves, but in the meantime, I'll be eyeing Rebecca Taylor's awesome faux fur vest ($350). And all-over sequins look to be a big trend. Rachel drooled over Matthew Williamson's gold sequined column gown, eyeing it for Cameron Diaz, and made another "every girl" remark about Diane Von Furstenberg's blue Saryk dress ($850, pictured above, available for pre-order). Can't wait (or pay for) the DVF frock? Score an aqua blue sequined sheath for $148 at Bloomies. For more of-the-moment "every girl" picks that really are useful, check out our guides to leather jackets, fall shoe trends, and thigh-high boots.

Do You Prefer Models In Black And White And Makeup Free, Or Made Up In Full Color?

A number of supermodels who are not the same age as Gisele appear in September's Harper Bazaar without makeup.  Claudia Schiffer, Cindy Crawford, Amber Valletta, et al. look both beautiful and exceedingly natural in a series of black and white portraits. Now, we absolutely do appreciate being shown un-made-up, and we hope, un-retouched models.  However, we couldn't help but note that the spread, shot by Peter Lindbergh, is about the lack of makeup and nothing else.  The women are shot in black-and-white and wear very simple tops which, I suppose, might be as simple as they are in order not to detract from the natural images.  Yet at the same time, to photograph a makeup-less editorial this way, it's like saying "what a wacky thing this is!  If the models aren't wearing any makeup, we certainly can't let them show off any clothes." Rather than give us haute couture, the models name favorite aspects of their beauty regimens.  This ranges from fresh carrot and apple juices (Claudia Schiffer) to particular moisturizers (Kristen McMenamy.) Kristen likes moisturizer from Nuxe Paris ($47) because it's super hydrating but doesn't irritate sensitive skin. If we were about to be photographed for a national magazine sans concealer, we'd wash up with Pangea Organics Facial Cleanser - Calendula & Blood Orange ($28) which we've found to soothe skin and clean it thoroughly at the same time. Whether or not you're preparing for a makeup-free closeup, check out our guides to the best acne treatments and teeth whiteners, so you'll be ready at any point to be photographed au natural.  (And while you're at it, take a look at the best mascara, because if there's one beauty product to cheat wearing no makeup, that's definitely it.)

Trend Alert: Tod’s Roxy Bag

What: The Sold Out Sporty Bag of the Spring: Tod's Roxy Messenger Bag Why: Although the average soul can’t find it in most places, celebrities like Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, Kate Winslet, Naomi Watts and others are slinging through the streets with their new Tod's Roxy Messenger Bag, showing of the cool, Italian styling and the sporty silver finish. Made with lots of pockets for easy access to your cell phone and other essentials, it also packs a mean main compartment for storing all your stuff. It’s not for sale yet on Tod’s new Web site and has already sold out at Saks once, so us mere mortals will have to gawk and drool for a little while longer. Unless... you snag it now from Saks. Price: $725 Find It: Saks Fifth Avenue

Beauty Find: Pressed for Color

What: Youngblood Pressed Eyeshadow Quads Why: Much as I’d love to splurge on a new wardrobe with every season change, and every post fashion week trend alert, my budget doesn’t allow me to indulge this constant desire to reinvent myself. Instead of splurging on a pair of sexy stilettos I’ll only wear once, I’ve taken to buying myself some great new makeup each season, successfully satiating my new season need for something new without destroying my credit rating. This spring, I’m brightening up my face with Youngblood Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow Quads. The names, Mermaid and Purple Majesty, may appeal to my childhood Disney aspirations (“I wanna be where the people are…”), but the look is totally grownup goddess. The shadows are highly pigmented and easy to blend, so the color really pops and complements your natural eye color. Maybe if my eyeshadow is great enough, no one will notice that I’m wearing last season's skinny jeans. Price: $35.95 Get Yours: Amazon.com

Beauty Find: Spring Skin Rejuvenation

What: Boscia Jujube Rejuvenist Amino Body Wash and Whipped Body Creme Why: Like many women, I have an admittedly unhealthy fear of aging. This obsession has led me to try any product containing the words “younger looking skin” somewhere on the package. In an effort to unearth my “younger looking skin,” I’ve subjected my sensitive skin to numerous scrubs, peels and exfoliants, often leaving my skin red and irritated. Looking for something gentler, I came across the boscia Rejuvenist Amino Body Wash and Body Crème, which effectively combine Japanese technology and natural botanical ingredients to “rejuvenate” my sensitive skin without the harsh irritants. The jujube fruit encourages healthy cell rejuvenation, strengthening the skin for a smoother, firmer appearance. I may not be able to turn back the clock, but at least I can wash away my aging phobia for a few moments every day. Price: Body Wash ($22), Body Crème ($30) Find It: drugstore.com Deal Alert: Visit the Clearance Store for up to 60% off.

SheFinds Fragrance Week: Spring Fragrances

What: Spring Fragrances Why: It's spring, which means not only is it time to give your closet a makeover, but it's also the perfect time to revamp your spring fragrance wardrobe. While there is no strict rule about when to wear particular scents, sometimes your nose just knows which perfumes fare better in warmer weather. Pine is perfect around the holidays, hearty spices ideal for fall, water scents best during summer... When it comes to spring, think fresh and crisp with soft florals or bright citrus notes. As the weather heats up, tone things down even more since heat brings out the strength of a fragrance. Switch from a heavy eau de parfum to a lighter eau de toilette, or use a combination of scented body products that linger nicely without being too intense. To get you started, check out these favorite scents for spring: Marc Jacobs 'Rain' Splash, Clean Eau de Parfum Spray, BVLGARI Eau Parfumee au the vert (unisex), LoLLIA Breathe EDP, L'Eau d'Issey and Comptoir Sud Pacifique Vanille Abricot Eau de Toilette Spray. Check back at SheFinds throughout the week to see new fragrance reviews and more fragrance-related posts.

Fashion News: M by Madonna

What: Madonna's New Clothing Line at H&M Why: M is for Material Girl, Musican, Mother and Movie Actress. Now M also stands for "M by Madonna." The singer and fashion trendsetter has just launched a new line of clothing through the Swedish retailer H&M. Co-designed with Margareta van den Bosch, pieces in the collection include kimono inspired dresses, skirts topped with belted tunics, cropped pants and jackets done in a palette of white, brown and black. The style is a reflection Madonna 2007 -- simple, sleek and elegant. Accessories include high heels and handbags in black and this season's must-have color, silver. The signature piece of the collection is a wrap trench coat in white. Worn by the singer in ads for the collection, it is being snapped up by fashionistas all over the globe. She has said that she, "wanted something casual but naughty, sensible but sexy. That's me. That's how I am. I wanted the collection to be for a working girl." And with prices ranging from $16 to $295, Madonna's style is truly meant for everyone. Find It: Visit your local H&M or see the collection online at hm.com. Sold-out in store? Head directly to eBay.

SheFinds Fragrance Week: I Smell Pretty, Oh So Pretty

What: Vera Wang 'Princess' Why: Different moods call for different fragrances. You have your Posh-It-Up-On-Fifth-Avenue scent, your I-Got-To-Boogie perfume and even the Have-This-Chap-Washed-And-Brought-To-My-Tent fragrance. But what about the days when you just want to smell girly? A light and feminine scent that's not overwhelming or too floral, but that definitely leaves you feeling pretty and witty and well, bright? Two scents come to mind. Vera Wang 'Princess' is a flirty blend of water lily, lady apple and golden apricot skin delightfully combined with sheer floral notes, accented with dark chocolate and topped with amber, musk and vanilla. It’s a sweet and youthful confection, a sprightly oriental that’s downright sparkly. If you’re looking for something floral category that doesn't smell like an English garden, try the celebrity scent destined to become a classic: Sarah Jessica Parker's Lovely. It's a beautiful blend of lavender, orchid, paper whites, amber and a hint of musk; perfectly light and breezy with an air of glamour. SheFinds Fragrance Week: Forever Young, Pink and Sweet

What: Aquolina Pink Sugar Why: Dabbing on the same old perfume is as automatic as brushing your teeth, which is why it is so easy to fall into a fragrance rut. Time to break out of the routine. Here's a tip: think back to one of your first fragrances. For many of us, it was Love's Baby Soft. Spray some of that baby powder scented perfume and we drift back to our tween days. Seems like the folks at Aquolina thought back to their first love, too, when they came up with Pink Sugar. Soft and sweet, faintly reminiscent of cotton candy and vanilla, it's the perfect light scent for those of us who, deep down, are still frilly, romantic, girly girls. SheFinds Fragrance Week: Organza by Givenchy

What: The classic spring scent of Organza by Givenchy. Why: Spring is a universally accepted time of transition -– from warm wool pants to summer tank tops, from snow to 100 degree temperatures and from heavy winter scents to light summer scents. Any perfume that has been on the market for more than 10 years must have something going for it, and whenever spring peeks through the snow, we’re always excited to pick up a bottle of Organza Perfume. Organza, in our minds, is best for drinks after work with a hot date, or a light spritz for invigoration before a power meeting. The heavier floral scent is a perfect accompaniment for that transition outfit you picked up last week. Notes include succulent florals like honeysuckle, rosewood, gardenia, tuberose and peony. Sound familiar? Now's your chance to express your pain. Send your photo of the ugliest bridesmaid dress you've ever been required to wear to {encode="[email protected]" title="[email protected]"}. As of April 5th, women far and wide will have their traumatic bridesmaid dress moments displayed in unity on a new blog devoted to the horrors of dress fiascoes at People's Style Watch. From that date onward you can submit your pictures through People.com. Be sure to include your name, hometown, relationship to the bride and a few sentences about what you thought of the dress -- don't worry, your eyes will be cropped to hide your identity. Don't forget to tell them SheFinds sent you there!
