The 125 Best New Beauty Launches Of 2023

It’s becoming tights (or stockings, if you wish) season! I don’t wear tights too often, but I know people who wear them every single day when it’s cold out. Some people also spend a decent amount of money on tights, so it’s important to take good care of them so that they last. Washing tights isn’t difficult, but it does take a bit of extra care. How often you wash your tights depends on personal preference because some people think you should wash them after every wear and others say that can cause runs quicker. On that note, here’s how to wash them!

Option #1: Washing Machine

– Put your tights in a laundry bag (or a pillowcase if you don’t have one) and set your washing machine on delicate cycle.

– Use cold or warm water, this way you’ll preserve the color and material of your tights.

– Add a mild detergent like Woolite.

– After the cycle is over, remove your tights and lay flat or hang to dry.

Option #2: Hand-Washing

– Make sure the sink is clean!

– Fill the sink with warm water and immerse your tights in the water.

– Add Woolite (or another gentle detergent) and gently rub them together.

– Rinse until all the detergent is removed.

– Gently squeeze tights to remove excess water.

– Once you’ve removed most of the water, lay flat or hang to dry.

That’s it!
