Costco fans have a sweet reason to celebrate: the warehouse retailer is bringing back its Twisted Churro to U.S. food courts for a limited time, sparking excitement among customers who have been waiting for its return.
Costco Chief Financial Officer Gary Millerchip confirmed the comeback during the company’s fourth-quarter earnings call, and locations began rolling out the popular pastry in September.
The 12-inch churro costs $1.49 and returns to food courts after the chain replaced it with a giant chocolate chunk cookie in 2024.

“I did want to address the speculation that’s been blowing up our social media feeds and confirm that the rumors are true,” Millerchip said.
On September 18, Costco also announced the return in a Reel posted to its official Instagram account.
The video quickly gained traction, amassing more than 6.3M views, 365K likes, 6K comments, and 12K reposts at the time of reporting.
However, the returning treat is the Twisted Churro, a version introduced in 2021, rather than the original straight churro that Costco sold before 2020.
Some longtime fans continue to hope the older style will make a comeback, too. For now, the Twisted Churro is a limited-time offering, and availability may vary by warehouse depending on launch schedules and local stock.
After Costco shared the announcement, customers flooded the comments with excitement, with some making it clear they don’t want the pastry to disappear again.
“LIMITED TIME???? NO. YOU KEEP IT ON THERE!” one person wrote.
“Remove that limited time sign. We need this sweet forever,” another pleaded.
“Dreams do come true,” a third commenter added.
“Best news ever!!!!” another fan declared.
While Costco has not promised to keep the Twisted Churro on its menu permanently, the enthusiastic response suggests that many customers would happily welcome it as a regular food court staple.
