3. Turn Off Background App Refresh

If you didn't know, a setting that is often automatically turned on with iPhones is 'Background App Refresh,' which allows certain apps to run in the background in order to keep up news feeds, algorithms, and more.

"The easiest way to speed up your iPhone is to stop it from doing things in the background," notes Bobes. "Turning off Background App Refresh and lowering automatic syncing can free up a lot of memory and processing power. This can make even older phones feel faster right away."

2. Fake or Copycat Gaming Apps

Because there are so many gaming apps out there, this also means that there are numerous apps that try to mimic more popular apps. Glynn warns against this, as some of these third-party, copycat apps can come with safety risks.

"There are also fake gaming apps which may look like mods or cheats of popular game titles like GTA, Minecraft, Call of Duty, and they spread malware through third-party app stores," Glynn notes. "It's advisable to only download games from official app stores to avoid these risks."
