The billionaire’s most recent partner, Shivon Zilis, recently revealed that he not only broke up with her but did so in a rather rude and abrupt way. The couple, who share four children, had seemingly been on good terms just days before the split, making her sudden announcement all the more surprising. Shivon Zilis Reveals Elon Musk Broke Up With Her On Social Media
If you’ve never heard her name before, Shivon Zilis is a tech executive who serves as a director at Elon Musk’s brain-computer company Neuralink. After discreetly sparking a romantic relationship, the pair first welcomed twins Strider and Azure in 2021. The couple later welcomed daughter Arcadia in 2024 and son Seldon in 2025, bringing their total number of children together to four. While they kept much of their relationship private, the tech executive’s latest post confirmed that their relationship had become romantic and lasted for more than five years.
Shivon took to X on October 2nd to share a lengthy statement about the breakup, revealing that the Tesla founder had ended their relationship abruptly and seemingly without giving her advance warning. She described the experience as difficult after being in love with him shortly before the split, while also expressing gratitude for the relationship they shared and saying she still cares deeply about him.
“It’s hard to go from in love to let go in a week with no warning, but that’s just how it is sometimes,” she wrote. “I feel happy that I got to show Elon how it feels to be deeply understood, nurtured, and peacefully loved with stability and gentleness. Given the tumultuous nature of his early life, his often tortured soul, and how hard he fights for humanity, I wanted him to feel the deepest and most stable form of love this world can provide. My heart is full knowing I got to do that, and I hope it leaves a lasting good effect.”

Shivon Describes Herself As Elon's 'Safe Place' & Shares Screenshots Of Their Texts
In her statement, the mom-of-four described herself and the four children she shares with the billionaire as his "safe space," saying their home life provided him with a sense of calm and happiness amid his demanding public and professional life.
"We were always his safe space," she continued. "A place where all of us were overjoyed to see him and one that was always full of happiness and love, not war, in contrast to his otherwise militant existence (a needed break from the battlefield where he could recharge his heart and soul before heading back out). I loved being that counterbalancing place of safety, sense of calm, and love — and delighted in bringing a smile back to his face when he was down. I will miss him dearly."
She also expressed hope that she and Elon could remain good friends and co-parents, while sharing screenshots of recent text exchanges between the two that appeared to show them expressing affection just days before she announced their split.
"It was really wonderful to see you for breakfast," she texted him last week. "Love you very much."
"Love you too," he responded.
