Berry’s rep has denied the claims, calling them “entirely meritless and deliberately misleading,” and many of Berry’s loyal fans have rallied behind her, demanding Martinez provide evidence to support his claims. Oliver Martinez Accuses Halle Berry Of Abuse
On Thursday, October 1, Martinez filed a request for a domestic violence restraining order, alleging that Berry physically abused their 12-year-old son, Maceo, during an incident on September 26th. According to court documents, Martinez says the incident occurred at Berry's home after an argument while Maceo was playing a virtual reality game. Martinez claims that Berry "jumped on" their son, put her hands around his neck, and choked him.
Martinez also claimed that this incident was not an isolated one, and that there have been other instances of physical, verbal, and emotional abuse between Berry and their son over the past several years. For these reasons, he's seeking sole legal custody of their son, revoking the shared custody they had agreed on following their 2023 divorce.
The same day as the filing, a judge granted a temporary restraining order, limiting Berry's visitation until her hearing scheduled on October 16th.
