Speaking at a news conference at the Venice Film Festival on Tuesday—the same day as the premiere of Gibney’s Musk—St. Clair was not afraid to air out all their dirty laundry. The influencer, who was formerly a right-wing public figure but has since denounced her conservative views, shares a son, Romulus, with Musk. The two were together for roughly two years between 2023 and 2025.
“I was offered the opportunity not to speak for $40 million,” St. Clair told reporters. “When you’re offered something like that [to stay quiet], it really causes a debate in your head about what your speech means and how valuable that is and why do they want to offer me this amount of money to not speak?”
The documentary, which opens in theaters on October 16th, touches on all the ups an downs of Musk’s personal and professional life, including his 14 children with 4 different women, corporate battles, ever-changing role in politics, and of course, his companies, SpaceX and Tesla.
