Emily Blunt Wears A Strapless Gown With A Beaded Skirt To The’ Disclosure Day’ In Paris
The English actress is busy this year, fresh off the premiere and release of The Devil Wears Prada 2, and now attending numerous film-related events in honor of festival season.
This week, she went to the premiere of Steven Spielberg’s latest project, Disclosure Day, a science-fiction film with Emily as the main star. She plays a meteorologist working alongside a cybersecurity whistleblower to expose government cover-ups related to extraterrestrial life. In Paris, not only was there a premiere, but an elaborate photocall in front of the famous city’s skyline and the Eiffel Tower.
For the abroad event, she stepped out in a unique Tamara Ralph Haute Couture dress, which had a solid black strapless top and an elaborate beaded pearl skirt with crisscrosses of what almost looks like pearl necklaces. The dress’s neckline was rather interesting, as it plunged down the center with dramatic curves near the top. Emily wore her blonde hair down, straightened and behind her shoulders, and accessorized with a pair of simple black heels.

Social Media Users React To Emily's' Disclosure Day' Dress
After the premiere, pictures of the mom-of-two in her beaded dress were shared on social media, where fans and fashion enthusiasts had mixed opinions on her look.
Though some internet users really liked the dress, finding it to be a fun, unique choice that's different from what she usually wears on the red carpet, others thought the opposite. Many had an issue with its quirky neckline and the way it fit on her, thinking it wasn't the best decision made by her styling team.
"I understand why they made the changes they did from the runway look, but it was truly to the garment's detriment," wrote a Reddit user, comparing the dress on Emily vs. a model on the runway.
"Looks so cheap," a user wrote.
"The shape of the bust is not good," added another, with one user responding, "It looks like Mickey Mouse."
"I hate it," commented a critic. "The proportions are all wrong."
"Emily is a risk taker when it comes to fashion," added another. "Seldom have I seen that risk pay off well."
