She attended the event with her husband, Brad Falchuk, and her son Moses, 19, whom she shares with Coldplay singer Chris Martin.
Paltrow’s daughter, Apple Martin, has been gaining attention in the modeling world—though not without criticism tied to her “nepo baby” status. But Gwyneth herself is no stranger to that label; she addressed it with honesty and humor.
While being honored at the award show, the 53-year-old joked that she was “one of the original nepo babies.”
She added, “I was extraordinarily lucky to be given opportunities early on, probably partly because I'm one of the original nepo babies—but I would be lying if I said that that made my path clear.”

She went on to reflect on the challenges she faced in the industry, explaining, “There were many moments when the industry made it very plain that women are expected to stay in their lane and to be graceful and quiet and above all to be one thing. And I've never been very good at being one thing,” she said, referencing her work beyond acting, including her Goop business.
Paltrow also took a moment to honor her mother, Blythe Danner, who was in the audience. “Mom, you showed me what it looks like to commit fully to a craft, to be insanely creative and brave in your choices onstage, and to carry yourself with so much grace—even when sometimes this industry doesn't make it so easy. So thank you,” she said.
She closed by acknowledging the importance of male support systems and gave a shoutout to her husband and son, adding, “When we talk about women supporting women, which matters enormously, we also want to acknowledge the gorgeous, thoughtful, and loving men who show up for us and fill our hearts with love.”
