Olivia Culpo didn’t become Miss Universe overnight. It took years of hard work, determination, and discipline–in all aspects of her life. To get her body in the best shape possible to become a Miss Universe pageant queen winner at the young age of 20, Culpo followed a strict diet and fitness regime.
Now at 26-years-old, Culpo may not compete in beauty pageants anymore but she still lives a super healthy and active lifestyle. In fact, she just did a shoot with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit and to say she looked ah-mazing is a huge understatement.
Have you ever wondered what Culpo eats in a day?--Because we have. Here's the scoop:
No matter what the occasion, Culpo loves to stock up on healthy fruits and vegetables. However, on super important days -- like the Miss Universe 2012 pageant or for an important photo shoot -- pineapple is her must-have morning food.
The reason: pineapple is good for reducing inflammation and absolutely no one wants to be swollen while posing in a bikini.
“Pineapple reduces swelling. You’re filmed that one very special day of the pageant, and you want to make sure you’re as ready to go as you can be,” Culpo told Shape.
Good to know!
Other fruits and vegetables with anti-inflammatory properties include apples, spinach, blueberries, broccoli, tomatoes, and more. If you're trying to slim down, try incorporating as many of these foods into your breakfast every morning as possible!
