It’s no secret that Hoda Kotb‘s exit from the Today Show a little over a year ago was very upsetting for many viewers, but those viewers might be unaware that there’s been some alleged drama behind the scenes.
Insiders close to Today staff have come forward and claim that there is some tension and animosity growing between the former co-host and the rest of the cast, especially now that she’s starting her own talk show since stepping away from the famous morning show. The insiders called her a “pest” in the eyes of NBC staff, and many of them are “sick” of listening to Hoda ask for favors that would boost her new content. Read more about the claims below.
Insiders Say NBC Insiders & 'Today' Staff Are Tired Of Hoda Kotb Asking For 'Favors'
Last year, on January 10th, the famous television personality officially left her position as one of the head reporters and show hosts for the Today Show after a nearly two-decade run. She had a very emotional goodbye via her last few episodes, sharing sweet moments with her final co-host, Jenna Bush Hager, and taking compliments from celebrities who expressed they would miss her.
Now, Hoda has entered a new phase of her career, and now that she's not waking up in the wee hours of the morning to put on the famous talk show, she's focused on other projects. She launched a wellness brand and app, Joy 101, and more recently, launched a celebrity interview series, Joy Rides. Her first episode featured her former coworker, Savannah Guthrie. However, according to insiders from NBC, some Today show and network staff members have been repeatedly asked for "favors" to promote her content, and they're getting tired of it.
"Even Hoda doesn't really know what this is," an NBC producer told the Daily Mail. "The staff call her a perpetual pest. She quit, now she keeps begging favors, and everyone's over it."

Sources Claim NBC Staff Are 'Sick' Of Hoda's Requests After Leaving 'Today'
According to the producers and other insiders, since leaving her position at Today and starting a new chapter, the journalist's coworkers and others are feeling pressured to find ways to contribute to her content, making them feel as though they're still working with and for her.
"The staff are sick of it," an insider claimed. "It's not their job to find content for Hoda's app. They're burned out working for NBC News and just want her to go away. She's pushing her luck."
Additionally, the mom-of-two is reportedly struggling as she starts her new talk show venture, and there are certain network staff members who have their doubts as to how it's going to work out.
"The idea looked cute on paper, but in reality, it's awkward, forced, and exhausting," a producer said. "Hoda's charm only goes so far when people are tapped out. Savannah gave her fifteen minutes at 4am. That tells you everything. If anyone else with so few subscribers asked Savannah to do media, she wouldn't. It's basically Hoda forcing her way back into relevance, and no one's impressed."
