Jason Momoa, 42, and Lisa Bonet, 54 shocked fans when they announced their split in January 2022 (after 16 years as a couple and 4 years of marriage). With that said, the Aquaman actor has hinted that he is single, and naturally, fans have several theories as to who he might be cozying up to or who they think he will date next.

Just to recap, in March at the Oscars, Momoa revealed to Access Hollywood that rumors that he had gotten back together with Bonet were false after the two were spotted in public. “We’re not back together,” he said on the red carpet to the publication,“We’re family. We have two beautiful children together.” The Dune star and Cosby Show actress share two kids: daughter Lola, 14, and son Nakoa-Wolf, 13, and Momoa also has a close relationship with Bonet’s daughter from her first marriage to Lenny Kravitz— Zoë Kravitz, 33. The blended family are often seen at red carpet events and other occasions together, and Momoa clarified that this doesn’t mean they are reconciling their relationship.

So… is Momoa officially on the market? The Game of Thrones icon hasn’t said whether he is or isn’t seeing anyone new at the moment, and fans on Twitter have recently expressed an interest in “shipping” him with his GOT co-star and longtime friend Emilia Clarke, 35, who is also said to be single. “Can Jason Momoa date Emilia Clarke already?!” wrote one fan while another added, “I’ve secretly shipped them for 10 years!”

As Johnny Depp is suing his ex-wife (and Momoa’s Aquaman co-star) Amber Heard and their widely publicized defamation trial goes on, millions of fans have signed a petition to remove Heard from the 2018 superhero film’s upcoming sequel. Many of these same fans have also expressed their desire to see Clarke take over Heard’s role as Mera (Aquaman’s love interest) so that Momoa can be reunited with Clarke on-screen again. This, as fans noted, wouldn’t be the first time the two played lovers on-screen and noted that they have “incredible chemistry.”

While neither Clarke or Momoa have commented on the matter, a fan-made poster continues to circulate on social media that depicts a photoshopped Clarke onto Heard’s body in an image for Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom. The film is set to release in March of 2023 which fans think gives producers, screenwriters and others behind the movie “plenty of time” to cast Clarke and replace Heard’s scenes with her own.

On GOT, Clarke captured millions of fans hearts in her role as Daenerys Targaryen and Momoa also garnered acclaim for his performance as her husband, Drogo. The two castmates have stayed friends, with both sharing sweet photos together on their respective Instagram accounts. On every post, there are usually several fan comments “shipping” them and hoping they’ll “one day be together.”

Momoa has referred to her as the “moon of his life” multiple times, and the two have professed their (seemingly platonic) love for each other, but here’s hoping! For now, Momoa appears to be an eligible bachelor and fans will undoubtedly be paying close attention to who he hangs out with in the near future.
