Elon Musk is known for making jabs at many figures in pop culture, and one of his latest targets is MacKenzie Scott, the philanthropist and ex-wife of Jeff Bezos.

The Tesla founder recently shaded the charitable figure after responding to a post that implied she was making the world “a worse place” through her donations and philanthropic work. The post spoke of her foundation and the organizations she supports in a negative light, and there were mixed reactions among various internet users. Read more about the situation below.

Elon Musk Shades MacKenzie Scott On X

Two of the biggest names on the planet are the two billionaire entrepreneurs, Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos. However, another person who's made lots of headlines is the ex-wife of the Amazon founder, MacKenzie Scott.

After MacKenzie and Jeff ended their 26-year marriage with a divorce in 2019, she famously shifted her career from novelist to philanthropist. She was left with $35.6 billion in Amazon stock and was named the world's richest woman by 2020. Since then, she decided to dedicate her funds and efforts to charity, notably founding Yield Giving, a foundation she uses to distribute her tremendous wealth. She's donated billions of dollars to various causes, including supporting the LGBTQ+ community, people impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, and famous organizations like Habitat for Humanity and Planned Parenthood.

Someone in opposition to the author's work is Elon Musk, who recently responded to an X post (formerly Twitter) that stated she was spending her money "on making the world a worse place." He wrote in response, "Sadly, yes."

Social Media Users React To Elon's Post

Though this isn't the first time the South African billionaire has made shady or disapproving comments about the humanitarian's work and large donations, having made various negative statements pertaining to them since her and Jeff's divorce, his simple yet effective response to the more recent post caught people's attention.

On various social media platforms, users responded to Elon's take on the matter, with some people agreeing with him but not approving of MacKenzie's work. In contrast, others felt completely different, backing her achievements and praising them.

One Instagram user wrote, "He's not wrong," as another added, "He's right, 100%."

"Musk [is] 100% right," commented a user, who claimed that the former Mrs. Bezos was donating to "useless organizations."

On the other side, supporters of the Yield Giving founder wrote that she was "a kind and giving person."

"She's a great person," added another.

"It's super irritating when [people] police others' spending," wrote an Instagram user. "If Elon's upset abt it, he can donate his own [money]."

"Musk is such a worthless little worm," commented another.
