After MacKenzie and Jeff ended their 26-year marriage with a divorce in 2019, she famously shifted her career from novelist to philanthropist. She was left with $35.6 billion in Amazon stock and was named the world's richest woman by 2020. Since then, she decided to dedicate her funds and efforts to charity, notably founding Yield Giving, a foundation she uses to distribute her tremendous wealth. On various social media platforms, users responded to Elon's take on the matter, with some people agreeing with him but not approving of MacKenzie's work. In contrast, others felt completely different, backing her achievements and praising them.
One Instagram user wrote, "He's not wrong," as another added, "He's right, 100%."
"Musk [is] 100% right," commented a user, who claimed that the former Mrs. Bezos was donating to "useless organizations."
On the other side, supporters of the Yield Giving founder wrote that she was "a kind and giving person."
