"I work out first thing in the morning. That's my new thing," she said. "I'm obsessed with jumping on mini trampolines or doing dance cardios," she previously dished to Women's Health. She added: "But those things are hard to do before work."
During a segment on New Year's resolutions on Today in January 2022, the journalist spoke openly about the lifestyle change she had made. Her co-host Hoda Kotb acknowledged her slimmer figure at the time, and said: "Can I tell you something that I've noticed and our viewers have noticed over the past few weeks. People have noticed that there's like a transformation that's been happening with you. You are – they are just saying 'Jen is looking amazing, she's never looked this good.'"
Kotb went on: "Something is happening. I think for someone like you and me who is constantly berating and belittling, I think one of the things we should do in January is celebrate when something good happens. Celebrate it!" the mom of three smiled and replied: "I will say I think I have figured out what works for me. And I think the hard thing is I think we expect things to happen overnight. This has actually been over six months."
When asked what works for her, Hager said: "The difference is I wake up before the show and I work out. And I really work out." Hager's commitment to a healthy lifestyle doesn't stop her from indulging in treats, and she even generously divulged one of her favorite recipes to Clarkson and Kotb during their time together on the former's talk show last month.
Arriving at the studio, Hager was clutching a sizable dish of queso which she had brought as a gesture of goodwill to her fellow Texan, Clarkson. "This is a true Texas girl though as this is a vat of queso!" Clarkson said excitedly, gushing over the food given to her. Kotb then praised Hager. "Jenna made it, it's her own personal recipe," she revealed.
As Hager's Instagram follower's know, her love for Texan cuisine persists even though she has moved away from her home state. She enjoys frequent visits to Texas and often prepares authentic Texan dishes for her family.
Currently, she resides in a New York home with her husband Henry Hager and their three children: Mila, 10, Poppy, 7, and Hal, 3.
