It’s no secret that the royal family has been juggling a lot as King Charles III is not only dealing with his ongoing cancer treatment, but everyone is now grappling with Prince Andrew and the allegations made against him.

Sources recently came forward to note that as he celebrated his 77th birthday and made several public appearances, the king was looking “withered and withdrawn,” which is believed not to necessarily be because of his health, but because of all the stress he’s been facing since taking away his brother, Andrew’s, royal titles. The disgraced prince’s alleged involvement in the crimes of Jeffrey Epstein is reportedly pushing the king over the edge. Read more about the situation below.

King Charles III Looks 'Withered And Withdrawn' During His Latest Public Appearances

Last week was a busy one for King Charles, as he went about this year's Remembrance Day traditions alongside other members of the royal family. These traditions included various honorable events and parades that the monarch attended, including the Cenotaph Parade and a Sunday service.

However, some royal family fans and enthusiasts, as well as royal experts and sources, noted that the king was looking a little out of it or more stressed than usual. Royal expert Hilary Fordwich has claimed it's because of the latest drama, the former Prince Andrew, now known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

"He was withered and withdrawn, with one able to observe the toll the Andrew nightmare had taken on him," Fordwich told the media. "He appeared to be somewhat resolute. He is also known to want to double down on duty, rather than anything verging on a shallow or frivolous celebration."

Charles Is Reportedly Distancing Himself From Prince Andrew Following His 77th Birthday

In addition to the Remembrance Day ceremonies and traditions, the king also celebrated his 77th birthday yesterday, on November 14th. It was an important day for those who support him, as it marked another year of life and health following his concerning cancer diagnosis last February.

According to Fordwich, the king is now marking this new year with a plan to separate himself from his younger brother's scandal, as it's causing stress and looks bad for the royal family as a whole. Andrew has been facing more allegations related to his ties to Jeffrey Epstein, the late financier and criminal who died in jail in 2019 after being arrested for trafficking and other crimes involving young women.

This year, the allegations and claims surrounding Andrew's friendship with Epstein and his potential participation in his crimes heated up as emails that were supposedly between the two of them were leaked and revealed through various documents earlier this year. Last month, the royal was officially stripped of his royal titles and moved out of his home, Royal Lodge, all decisions overseen by Charles.

"While Andrew, of course, will always remain his brother, now that he's a private citizen, the king is likely to further publicly distance himself," Fordwich added. "We won't be seeing Andrew at any birthday festivities. He's actually made it worse for himself due to his pride and pervasively privileged attitude, thinking he's still entitled."
