The original snack wrap was taken off many U.S. menus in 2016 due to complaints about preparation time. Some individual franchises continued to offer the snack wraps, but by 2020, they were removed from all McDonald’s locations in the U.S. One tweet from the fast-food giant this week has sparked a frenzy among fans trying to figure out the exact date of the much-anticipated return.

On December 5, Mickey D's officially tweeted for its 4.7 million X followers: "“snack wraps xx.xx.2025." McDonald's customers quickly flocked to the comments to share their joy. "Finally," one tweeted as another wrote: "we're so back."
Someone else added: "wait guys…i may be crying right now. after so long, the snack wraps are coming back. i’ll never take you for granted ever again snack wraps." An additional user shared: "THE SNACK WRAP IS COMING BACK YES LORD THANK YOU GOOOODDDD."

One other McDonald's fan noted: "It took almost three years. Thousands of hours of driving, ordering, editing, and posting. But here we are. The war is over. Snackwraps are coming back. We did it."
The recent buzz has left fans eager and speculating, with hopes high for the wrap's comeback by January 1, 2025. The Snack Wrap, a former favorite on the McDonald’s menu, was beloved for its handy size and tasty mix of crispy or grilled chicken, shredded lettuce, and cheese in a soft tortilla.

During his appearance on Good Morning America, Joe Erlinger, president of McDonald’s USA, confirmed on December 5 that "the Snack Wrap will be back in 2025."
