Meghan Markle gave followers another glimpse into her family’s new life in the U.K., but some viewers were left scratching their heads over the very different outfits worn by the adults and children in the video.
The Duchess of Sussex recently shared an Instagram Reel featuring moments from the family’s time in the English countryside after she and Prince Harry relocated to the U.K. with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
In one clip, the actress is seen walking hand in hand with Harry through what appears to be a muddy countryside setting. She dressed for cooler, wet weather in a light-brown quilted Cuyana jacket, skinny jeans and a black turtleneck, finishing the look with Le Chameau wellies.

Harry also appeared bundled up in a black quilted jacket and jeans as the couple walked outdoors.
The Reel then shifted to clips of their children enjoying various activities. Lilibet was shown near a fireplace and later riding a bike in a short-sleeve shirt, while Archie appeared outside in a T-shirt and shorts.
The children were also seen wearing wellington boots while playing outdoors in warm weather. The contrasting outfits immediately caught the attention of some social media users, who questioned why Meghan and Harry appeared dressed for colder weather while their children looked ready for summer.
“The adults all bundled up in winter coats and long pants, but the kids are in shorts and a t-shirt. She is soooo weird,” one person commented.
“I mean there’s been a couple of rainy days but the weather’s not dropped below 18-20 in the UK in the past two weeks,” another wrote.
“I don’t know why they are dressing for winter and sitting by the fireplace!”

However, not everyone thought the different outfits were significant. Some viewers suggested that Meghan’s Reel may simply be a montage made up of clips filmed at different times, which would explain why the family appears to be dressed for different types of weather.
“To me, it’s the usual collage of different, randomly assembled, moments,” one person wrote. “Part of it seems to be from that famous summer vacation in July. As for the rest—who knows?
Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Return To U.K.
The filming dates for the individual clips have not been confirmed, so it is unclear whether the family was actually dressed differently for the same weather conditions.
Recent coverage of the Reel has similarly noted that the montage appears to combine various family moments rather than documenting one continuous outing.
The video comes shortly after Harry and Meghan returned to the U.K. with Archie and Lilibet following several years in California. The family arrived in Britain on Aug. 26 and is spending an extended period there, with the children starting the new school year in the country.
The move is not a return to working royal life. Harry and Meghan are living privately and are retaining their Montecito home, while they also maintain their connection to Portugal.
The Sussexes' U.K. return has also brought renewed attention to Harry’s ongoing security concerns. Following their relocation, officials began a new review of the couple’s publicly funded security arrangements.
