The Duchess of Sussex sparked some controversy because she attended the market with one of her and the Duke of Sussex‘s three beagles. This doesn’t appear to be a big deal, except the market seemed to have a ‘no dogs allowed’ policy, which means that the mom-of-two may have been breaking the rules. Or was she?

Controversy Surrounding Meghan Markle’s Farmers Market Visit
Page Six reports that the mom-of-two attended the market with a bodyguard who looked after the beagle while she was browsing. Does this mean that the bodyguard made sure that Meghan was not breaking any rules during her time at the market because they were in charge of her pooch? We must point out that at the time of writing, it’s unknown whether the bodyguard and beagle actually entered the market or just stood back to comply with the rules, but that hasn’t stopped the internet from speculating.
The plot thickens, somewhat, as some internet sleuths have suggested that not everything about Meghan’s trip to the farmers market was as it seemed. On July 17th, a Twitter user named @QueenRMade1 posted a picture of what they said was the real sign at the Montecito Farmers Market, suggesting that the sign about no dogs being allowed was fake.
“This is the actual sign from the Montecito Farmers Market, held on Fridays,” the tweet began, before referencing the fact that the pictures of Meghan at the market appeared in the Daily Mail. “Whenever you see an article from the Daily Mail or any British media about Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, or their kids, know that the article, more often than not, is filled with lies.” Interesting!
Another thing causing the internet to ask questions is Prince Harry’s absence. Does it mean that there could be some truth in the rumors that there is trouble in paradise? Or does the fact that Meghan attended the market without their two children mean that Prince Harry, 38, was simply at home performing his fatherly duties? So many questions!

Controversy aside, we can’t deny that the former Suits actress looked effortlessly chic when she visited the market. She wore a muted beige-colored dress, which she teamed with an unbuttoned white linen shirt on top, black flip flops, dark sunglasses with gold rims, and a large jute tote.
Her hair was worn in a sleek, low bun – one of her go-to styles – and she accessorized with some gold jewelry. The perfect laid-back summer style inspiration!
