If you rely on pre-workout powder for an extra boost before hitting the gym, you’ll want to check your supplement stash. RAPTURE Preworkout is being recalled nationwide after testing found an illegal ingredient that can raise blood pressure and potentially lead to serious cardiovascular problems, including heart attacks, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The recall affects a specific lot of the workout supplement sold in several flavors, sold nationwide both online and through retailers. Although the company has not received reports of adverse events related to the recall, the FDA warns that the ingredient in question can pose serious health risks. Here’s what to know about the recalled products, the potential dangers, and what to do if you’ve purchased one.

Why Is RAPTURE Preworkout Being Recalled?

According to the FDA's recall announcement, Leader Formulas, LLC, based in Tomball, Texas, is voluntarily recalling one lot of RAPTURE Preworkout after testing found 1,3-dimethylamylamine (DMAA) in the product.

DMAA is a stimulant that can increase blood pressure and potentially cause serious cardiovascular complications. The FDA warns that using products containing the ingredient can lead to heart attacks, shortness of breath, and chest tightness.

The ingredient has also been the subject of previous FDA warnings. In its guidance on DMAA in products marketed as dietary supplements, the agency has addressed the ingredient's safety risks and its use in products sold as workout and performance supplements.

Which RAPTURE Preworkout Products Are Affected?

The recall applies to one lot of RAPTURE Preworkout powder, identified by lot number 260327-4. The products come in 450-gram round plastic containers featuring red and black lettering and a rhinoceros image on the seal.

The affected flavors and UPCs are:

  • Rainbow Twist: 710154236506
  • Electric Lemonade: 710143236513
  • Berry Mojito: 710154236544

The products were distributed nationwide between January 29, 2025, and May 25, 2026, through retail locations and online sales via the Leader Formulas website.

Check the lot number on your container, as the recall specifically identifies lot 260327-4 rather than every lot of RAPTURE Preworkout.
