Ryan Reynolds is reportedly taking an active role in helping his wife, Blake Lively, rebuild her public image following her highly publicized legal battle with Justin Baldoni.
The actress recently parted ways with her longtime publicist, Leslie Sloane, after more than 20 years of working together, and has reportedly brought on a new powerhouse to help manage her PR. However, according to a new report, Ryan may be more involved in the shake-up than people realize, with sources claiming he believes others failed him and Blake throughout the controversy. Read more about the situation below.

Ryan Reynolds Reportedly Wanted Blake Lively To Fire Her Longtime Publicist And Bring In A New Team
The Gossip Girl icon has reportedly parted ways with her longtime publicist, Leslie Sloane.
The choice marks a major change for the actress, who worked with the publicist for more than two decades. Sloane was also named in the legal dispute involving Blake and her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni, although the case against her was dismissed in 2025. She has since reportedly hired Kelly Bush Novak, a CEO from a major PR firm. According to celebrity reporter Rob Shuter, sources claim her husband was closely involved in the decision to overhaul his wife's team.
"This was Ryan's reset," the source told Shuter. "He wanted Leslie out, pushed for a new team, and was deeply involved in choosing Kelly. Ryan is running the show."
Ryan Reportedly Thinks 'People Failed' Him And Blake
The Green Lantern actor's alleged involvement in his wife's PR team overhaul also comes amid claims that he believes other people are responsible for how the couple's public image has been affected.
The controversy surrounding the It Ends With Us lawsuits damaged the reputation of both actors, particularly after Blake accused the Jane The Virgin star of harassment and retaliation. He denied her allegations and filed his own legal claims, which were part of the dispute that ultimately settled. Now, sources reportedly claim Ryan believes the couple's problems could have been avoided if their team handled things differently.
"Ryan has very strong opinions about what went wrong, but none of the blame lands on Ryan or Blake," the above source added. "In his mind, other people failed them. He believes he knows exactly how to fix this."
According to the report, Ryan is not necessarily looking to step back and let Blake's new publicist make every major decision independently. Instead, he seems to be more involved than ever, taking the reins and reconstructing their inner circle as she locks in on restoring her acting career.
