Turn Your Favorite Personal Snapshots Into Beautiful Home Decor Items

March 16, 2021 by SHEfinds Editors

Thanks to the magic of portrait mode and all different basic photo editing apps, these days we’re pretty much all master photographers. And with the ease and essentially limitless capacity of camera phones, it’s almost hard not to wind up with harddrives full of sweet snapshots featuring loved ones, the great outdoors, and random everyday moments. But be honest: How often do those photos make it beyond your Instagram account or Facebook profile?

This year, one of our intentions is to get all those great pictures off of our clouds and into real life. Simply printing them out one by one for an old-school physical photo album, though… that somehow doesn’t feel like the right plan either. And that’s why we’re so excited about CanvasDiscount.com. The website offers tons of deeply discounted options for printing photos onto canvas, acrylic, and metal as well as fun items like pillows, mouse pads, and mugs.

Since we’re still new to printing photos, we’re starting with canvas prints – they’re light, easy to hang, and incredibly inexpensive. Plus, with the code SHEFINDS15, you can get 15% more off all canvas prints at CanvasDiscount.com. There are also tons of different ways to personalize the prints, including with the shape, size, edge design, and optional text and framing. Here’s how we’re thinking about incorporating canvas prints into our own homes:

Canvas Prints, starting at $5

Beautiful Views: In the bedroom, we go for soothing, serene snapshots featuring the great outdoors. Find a photo with hues that match the color scheme you’ve already got going on, and print out an oversized canvas to hang right over your bed.

Gallery Walls: For home offices or the side of a staircase, gallery walls are the way to go. Combining photos of different shapes and sizes is a great way to add some interest to a small area that probably doesn’t have much else going on. Don’t be afraid to spice things up by mixing colors, patterns, and even frames.

Sweet Memories: In the living room, we like featuring favorite family memories. With the option to add text offered by CanvasDiscount.com, you can print the date a photo was taken right onto the front of the canvas. We love this as a way to give context and make a traditional snapshot look a little bit updated.
