Sharon Stone hosted the American Heart Association (AHA) Red Dress Collection Concert on Thursday, January 30th, and gave fans an update on her own health status on the same night.

The 66-year-old Basic Instinct star and style icon suffered a near-fatal stroke and brain hemorrhage that left her with a “1% chance of survival” back in 2001, with husband-at-the-time Phil Bronstein filing for divorce while she was recovering. However, Stone spent the evening inspiring her fans by telling them that if she could make it through the worst period of her life, anyone else can do the same too!

Sharon Stone Shares Inspirational Message With Fans Almost 25 Years After Her Near-Fatal Stroke

Stone said that she was "unable to remember anything" after her stroke, and referenced how different her life is in 2025 compared to 2001 in a candid interview with People.

The ageless Casino star told the pub: "I walked out of that hospital, 18% of my body mass gone, dragging my right foot, unable to write my own name. Now I'm right here hosting this ball on two feet in five-inch heels, and I can do it, and I made it, and you can too."

"I want to say to people, 'You can do it,'" the What About Love actress continued, adding: "And I want them to look at me and know, [I had] a husband that was divorcing me, with everybody fighting to take everything, with the bank, who had taken $18M of my life savings. I had nothing. I had no money. No career. I was destitute with a 1% chance of surviving."

Sharon Stone Talks About The Lack Of After Care She Received Following Her Stroke

The actress went on to talk about the care – or lack thereof – that she received after a ruptured vertebral artery bled into her brain for nine days, as she claimed that there were no rehabilitation programs available to her at the time.

"When it happened to me, there wasn't a program that would help me walk again. There wasn't a program that would stop my stuttering," the Emmy-winner recalled.

The Total Recall actress added: "There wasn't any aftercare, and certainly, insurance companies are [expletive] us right and left, and there wasn't any insurance to help me. There wasn't anything. And I'm sure that there's probably even less now."

Sharon Stone Tells Fans What Signs To Look Out For If They Suspect A Stroke, And Begs: 'Don't Hesitate'

The Intersection actress then told the magazine that she wanted to educate people on what signs to look out for if they suspect a stroke in themselves or anyone else, insisting that there is no time to wait or "hesitate," and 911 should be called immediately.

"If your face starts to fall in any way or has numbness, if your arm feels strange or numb in any way, if your speech is weird, or you say something and it's not what you were trying to say, or your speech is slurred — you have no time, call an ambulance," she advised.

Stone, who was sued for $35,000 in damages for allegedly causing a car crash in June 2023, continued to advise fans: "Don't ask your friends. Don't ask your husband or someone else, 'What do you think I should do?' 911, no questions asked. I called people. They hung up on me, left me on the floor, didn't help me. I was alone for three days on the floor." She then begged anyone who experiences any of the aforementioned symptoms: "Get an ambulance and get to the hospital. Walk into oncoming traffic and wave your arms. Do not hesitate."
