If you love sipping on warm, tasty Starbucks drinks all winter long, you’ll want to take advantage of hacks and deals to save big at the coffee chain! Tip #1— Sign Up For The Starbucks Rewards App

Calling all coffee lovers! By signing up for the official Starbucks Rewards app, you can receive extra star rewards for preloading money onto your account from a debit or credit card (or for linking a Starbucks gift card).

Instead of only getting one star for every dollar that is earned in a normal setting (where you don’t use preloaded funds), adding money ahead of time, GOBankingRates reveals, will net two stars per dollar. Ultimately, you need 150 stars to get a free drink and 50 stars to get some baked goods for free. This double boost can help you arrive at this point sooner than later!

#2— Earn Delta Miles

Starbucks announced their new partnership with Delta Airlines in October of 2022, and this presents loyal customers of both brands with the chance to earn even more rewards. As noted by INC., Delta has long had a relationship with Starbucks, and known to serve its brew on flights and in airport lounges.

As reported by INC., “If you’re a member of Delta’s SkyMiles and Starbucks’ Rewards programs, you can now link the two programs and earn one mile for every $1 you spend at Starbucks. And, if you buy Starbucks on a day that you’re traveling, you’ll earn double miles.”

#3— Bring Your Red Cup For A Cheaper Refill

On November 17th, Starbucks launched its annual red cup day, which gave coffee drinkers a free, collectible and reusable cup to use for both hot and cold drinks. Whenever anyone purchased a holiday drink on that very day, they obtained the special Red Cup.

If you still have your coveted cup, you can bring it with you to every Starbucks visit in December and get 10 cents off whichever drink a barista pours into yours!

#4— Turn On Alerts for Special Deals

If you have alerts set up for your own Starbucks Rewards App, the company sends both daily and/or weekly promotions to keep your eye out for. According to GOBankingRates, your shopping habits can earn you extra bonus stars (like getting 90 extra stars for ordering a Caramel Macchiato once a day for a week, etc).

In the past, Starbucks has offered a “buy one, get one free” drink special during the holiday season, so keep checking your app to see what else might be in store before New Years Eve!
