Dakota Johnson hosted Saturday Night Live on Saturday, October 3rd (otherwise known as official Mean Girls Day!) and looked stunning in a figure-hugging red dress during her monologue.

And her good friend Taylor Swift gate-crashed her monologue, and just so happened to look equally stunning in her own figure-hugging dress. We’re obsessed with their coordinating looks, their friendship, and more!

Dakota Johnson And Taylor Swift Look Gorgeous On 'SNL'

The Fifty Shades of Gray alum has been looking incredible on the Verity promo trail with Anne Hathaway these past few weeks, but she saved another head-turning dress to wear on SNL. We don't think she or her stylist is in any danger of running out of stylish dresses anytime soon, do you?

The Materialists actress showed off her incredible figure in a vintage skintight red latex dress (we're getting Britney Spears "Oops!... I Did It Again" vibes!) from Versace's Fall 2013 collection. We may be seeing the brand new Spring/Summer 2027 collections right now, but we can never resist a vintage piece, especially one this bold and sexy! She accessorized with a dazzling sparkly necklace, and finished off the monochromatic look with matching red heels.

Not to be outdone, the newly-married "Fate of Ophelia" singer wore a gorgeous Simkhai 'Wells' off-the-shoulder diagonal check print mini dress, teamed with a pair of striking black Burberry leather heeled boots, which accentuated her long, toned pins perfectly.

Dakota Johnson Jokes About Her Love Life During 'SNL' Monologue

Fashion wasn't the only thing that got people talking during Dakota's monologue, as she also poked fun at her high-profile love life – including her "two very public, very lame breakups with two very awesome musicians," to use her words.

It's likely that she was referring to Chris Martin, who she dated between 2017 and 2025, and Role Model (real name Tucker Pillsbury) who she dated between 2025 and 2026. There is also a small chance she could have been referring to Megan Fox's on/off boyfriend Machine Gun Kelly, as there have been a few rumors about the pair seeing each other lately.

"Some of them don't wear shoes, some of them are terrible in bed. All of them are in my DMs. Not my fault, though. Some people leave concerts with merch, I leave concerts with a two-and-a-half-year relationship," Johnson joked during her monologue.

"But I have really good friends. They don't judge me for dating these men. They're actually really supportive," Johnson added, which provided the perfect introduction for Swift to unexpectedly walk onto the stage.

"Ladies and gentlemen, my literal therapist," the Madame Web actress said, to which the "Patient Zero" singer quipped:  "I'm not your therapist, actually. You just show up at my house once a week with an empty bottle of wine and ask me if I want some."

"Yeah, I have manners," Johnson said. "And then you flop on my couch and overshare and every so often I just say, '[Expletive] that's crazy.' Then I go, 'It's late, I should really go to bed,'" Swift continued.

"And then you say..." the "Anti-Hero" hitmaker began, as the Calvin Klein model excitedly interrupted: "Sleepover yay!" Swift then finished, while patting Johnson on the back: "Then I give you a Pedialyte and my security drives you home."

Fans React To Taylor Swift And Dakota Johnson's Friendship, Say Dakota 'Replaced' Blake Lively

The ladies' friendship didn't go unnoticed on social media, with many fans even suggesting that Swift had replaced her former BFF Blake Lively with Johnson. The Gossip Girl alum reportedly wasn't at Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding this July, amid the fallout from her legal battle with It Ends With Us director and co-star Justin Baldoni, which Swift seemingly found herself drawn into.

"The duo we didn't know we needed. Love them together," one fan gushed, followed by a red heart emoji. "I love them! Super fan of these 2!" exclaimed a second, also adding a red heart emoji. "Hope this collab never ends," raved a third, as a fourth said: "Obsessed with this!"

Others focused specifically on Swift's former friendship with Lively, with a fifth writing: "She replaced Blake." "Looks like Taylor found her Blake Lively replacement," echoed a sixth, followed by two crying-laughing emojis.

"Dakota is her new Blake Lively. It's official... she just found a relevant replacement and made it obvious and even made sure "Patient Zero" video came out same time as Verity to 'prove' her friendship. Not even trying to hide it," speculated a seventh.

"She wants us to just forget about her ex-bestie Blake?" asked an eighth, while a ninth joked: "Blake Lively is somewhere maniacally spraying more mousse in her hair."
