Kate Beckinsale is hitting back at social media trolls after a recent Instagram post featuring the actress doing yoga in an unusual outfit sparked a wave of comments about her appearance and weight.
On Wednesday, the Serendipity star shared a photo of herself posing while practicing yoga with her pets. In one clip, Beckinsale balanced on one leg while a dog and her pink-dyed cat appeared on her back.
For the unconventional workout, the mom of one wore a white ruffled mini dress with sky-high black knee-high combat platform boots.
She captioned the now-deleted post, “Yoga yoga yoga.”

The actress joked in response, "I don't usually walk. I just wait in the street for somebody 5 foot 11 or taller and broad-ish and then I just ask for a piggyback."
When another person questioned how she developed her famously strong ankles, the actress simply pointed to her background as a dancer, writing that she is a "ballet girl."
The 53-year-old later addressed another round of criticism on August 8, reposting several comments she had received on Instagram Stories. Some users urged Beckinsale to gain weight, while others accused her of using weight-loss medication.
Rather than ignore the comments, she explained that her weight loss had previously been connected to an extremely difficult period in her life.
"You take a break from Instagram for several months following the death of your mother, delete all of your posts and explain in some considerable detail about why you may have lost weight including the fact that weight loss is one of the very first physical signs of bereavement... I think people might be broken," Beckinsale wrote under a screenshot of a cruel comment.
She has previously spoken publicly about experiencing significant physical and emotional stress following the deaths of close family members.
