Kim Kardashian and Kanye West‘s seven-year-old son, Psalm West, has just been cast in The Angry Birds Movie 3 – and the internet has plenty of negative things to say about it!

According to reports, the youngest of Kim and Kanye’s four children will be making his acting debut in the new Angry Birds movie, which is set to hit theaters on December 23rd. And, similar to many other celebrity children, he is already being accused of benefiting from nepotism!

Psalm West Will Make His Acting Debut In 'The Angry Birds Movie 3'

Psalm has been cast as an adorable hatchling named Olly in The Angry Birds Movie 3, after his mom reportedly received a call offering him the role.

The Skims founder reflected on the casting in a recent episode of The Kardashians, saying: "He has the cutest voice. When they called and asked if he was interested in this role of a new bird, he was so excited."

However, the fact that he was reportedly offered the role despite having no previous acting experience – or even an audition! –  is what appeared to upset many people online the most!

In a world where celebrity children are increasingly landing major opportunities – from Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's daughter Sunday Rose Kidman walking down the catwalk to Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin's daughter Apple Martin landing a Vogue shoot, among so many other examples – many social media users argued that Psalm was a "nepo baby" and that his casting was another example of Hollywood nepotism.

Internet Reactions

"Nepotism at its finest," slammed one person on Instagram. "Gotta love nepotism," echoed a second, followed by an eye-roll emoji. "Nepotism so the rich just get richer," agreed a third, as a fourth declared: "Sick of nepotism."

"Why not give regular kids the opportunity?" asked a fifth user, as a sixth frustrated user exclaimed: "And he didn't even have to work his way up. He just gets it! That's wrong!"

"I doubt they called. More like she sorted that. Why lie?" enquired a seventh dubious user, which is a thought many others shared. "They didn't call... she's pimping her kids out," thought an eighth, as a ninth said: "Let me guess... Kim demanded (with money) to the director and producers to let her son be in the movie. Not surprised. She did the same thing with North about performing in The Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl."

And speaking of North West, a tenth brought up the recent criticism surrounding the 13-year-old looking "uncomfortable" while being "swarmed" by older men during Paris Fashion Week, which neither Kim nor Kanye attended. "Oh, she needs to pay attention to her daughter, allowing the 13-year-old child to hang around 25-year-old and older adult men."

Not everyone felt the same way, however, with many people defending Psalm, pointing out that he is just a child and praising his voice as a good fit for the role.

"Oh he's adorable," gushed one fan. "He does have a cute little husky voice. You don't have to like his mama, but he is a child," wrote a second, as a third noted: "Y'all are bullying a literal child. Y'all know nothing about him besides this role and his mom. Like, grow up and get a life."

"To be fair, his voice is very cute and he did a great job," said a fourth in his defense, as a fifth concurred: "Awww! But his voice is super cute! I'll give him that!"
