Ask anyone who knows me and they’ll tell you I am not a ballet flats kind of person. Don’t get me wrong–I love a good slip on and go shoe as much as the next person, but I’ve literally never come across a pair that looks good on my flat, narrow foot.
I’d basically resolved myself to never knowing the joys of the ballet flat until I got the chance to try the Margaux Demi. O. M. G. Holy amazing shoe!
I was initially skeptical because the leather is insanely soft and I was worried the shape of my foot would just look awful in the shoe. Wrong! Not only is the sole of the shoe incredibly solid and sturdy, but there’s padding inside the shoe that really helps support the foot. This isn’t one of those flimsy ballet flats where you’ll feet the gravel under your feet; these flats are actually comfortable and supportive. I went from never wearing ballet flats to wearing these almost every day!
If you’re already thinking about buying a pair, good! You’ll love them. But one shopping tip: use customer service to help you figure out your size! I’m usually a size 8.5-9 and got a 39.5 for the best fit.
You should also know that there are tons of colors to choose from, which makes buying just one pair really, really hard. I got the cornflower blue color and it’s gorgeous, but I’m already eyeing the tan pair as a neutral shoe to wear with everything this fall.
Consider yourself warned: this is the wear-with-everything shoe your closet is missing. Don’t go another day without a pair!
