At just 13 years old, North West is already stepping into the spotlight as she takes on the stage for her first solo concert.
North performed at The Vic Theatre in Chicago on Saturday, September 5, showing off her signature goth-meets-anime aesthetic. For the performance, she wore a white mini dress featuring multiple belts across the bodice, which she paired with a ruffled, tiered mini skirt.
The long-sleeved dress was finished with ribbons along the sleeves, while North completed the look with matching white boots, a ribbon hair tie and her signature long blue hair.

North West Performs At Her First Solo Concert
During the concert, the teen incorporated a sheer lace umbrella into her performance as she danced across the stage and sang her songs.
A fan later shared a clip from what was described as North’s “sold-out” show online, prompting plenty of reactions from social-media users. Some questioned her music, her fashion choices and whether her famous parents played a role in her growing career.
“THIS is nepotism,” one person wrote on TikTok.
“Her father’s confidence with her mother’s talent,” another commenter said.
“This is so cringe I can’t,” someone else added.
Another social-media user questioned whether people were genuinely interested in North’s music, writing, “Do people actually listen to her music or is it just because she’s North West, like seriously I’m not hating.”
“I’m still trying to understand what her end goal is?” another person wrote. “I mean this with respect, I don’t think she’s a musician and it must be hard to figure out who you want to be when she has the famous parents that she does.”
“This is such a mess genuinely,” another critic added.

North's Parents Support Her Music Career
Meanwhile, North had the support of both of her famous parents on the big night, although her mother and father reportedly watched the performance from separate sections of the venue.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have both publicly supported North’s interest in music. The rapper has brought his daughter onstage on several occasions, including a major performance at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles in April 2026.
During that appearance, North joined her father to perform their collaborative songs “Talking” and “Piercing on My Hand” in front of a crowd of more than 70K people.
Kanye has also invited North to join him for other performances, including a stop in Tampa, Florida. The Skims mogul, meanwhile, has been spotted accompanying her daughter to music studios and has promoted North’s music and interviews through her social-media accounts.
