Salma Hayek and her lookalike teenage daughter, Valentina, just proved that good looks and good fashion sense run in the family after the Oscar-winning actress shared a video of them going vintage shopping in Barcelona and talking about social media, fashion, food, and more for Instagram’s Carversations. And looking super-stylish in the process!
The Frida alum, 59, and her daughter, 18, who she shares with billionaire husband François-Henri Pinault, were previously seen a few months ago on the red carpet in Venice, making this latest appearance another welcome delight for fans.
For the video, the Magic Mike’s Last Dance actress wore a black printed skirt paired with a black vest top with a low neckline, and in some instances, a chic black cardigan on top. She accessorized with a long gold necklace, which gives us Gucci Horsebit vibes. And as she is an ambassador for the brand, it wouldn’t surprise us if that is indeed where it came from! She added a shorter silver pendant layered on top of it, while her hair was worn in a curly down do.
Valentina looked effortlessly stylish in medium-wash blue jeans with a black belt and a simple white T-shirt, finished off with black sunglasses and a small black shoulder bag. Her blonde hair was worn in a center-parted down do.

Salma Hayek And Daughter Valentina Talk About Japan, ‘Evolving’ Style, Meeting Lana Del Rey, And More
In the video, which was filmed with Instagram, Salma picked up a leopard print cardigan (we know she loves leopard print and looks good in it too!) and also a leopard print dress, saying, “I remember when this came out.”
Salma also picked up a blue accessory, which she said was “flashy.” She asked her daughter if she liked it and if she “would wear something like this,” and she said “yes,” to which Hayek replied, “this is what I love about you, because if I asked you ‘would you wear this?’ six months ago, you would have said I’m insane. But you keep evolving and I love that.” Aww!

They also spoke about their love of Japan, with Valentina saying: "I really want to go to Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto, and I just want to eat the entire time that I'm there." Her mom replied: "I'm going to take you."
"I think it's so cool," Valentina continued about Japan." "It's going to be our mother-daughter trip," Hayek promised, adding: "And you're going to be my guide. All the things that you have learned through Instagram about that country, you're going to give me a tour."
They then spoke about Valentina taking over her mom's Instagram account and possibly DMing some famous people, including Lana Del Rey. "I don't really know what I would say, though," Valentina told her mom. She recalled the last time she had met the "Video Games" singer, and said: "When I met her at Glastonbury, I cried. 'Hi Lana, I'm the girl that cried on your chest and got mascara all over you.'"

When Valentina asked if Salma reads and replies to her comments on Instagram, her mom responded: "Sometimes, but not really. Because I want to read as many as possible and I get into it and I just keep reading, and I forget to reply."
She went on: "But my followers I have [are] like really, really funny… sometimes if I'm not in a good mood, I read the comments, even from like things I posted before, and they make my day." We'll bear this in mind!

Fan Comments
Fan comments ranged from praise for Salma's ageless appearance to admiration for the mother-daughter duo's close relationship.
