If you see something you like, you go for it. So when I saw a bag I didn’t immediately recognize tucked neatly under a chair at a recent runway show, I had to know what it was. Asking someone who they are wearing (or carrying) is the ultimate compliment. In this case I should have kept my mouth shut; I left shamefaced with my answer. The look in her eyes said, “Seriously?!” and her words were, “Marc Jacobs and not Marc by Marc Jacobs.” Not exactly obscure, but in my defense it was under a chair in a somewhat dimly lit tent. She probably works for Conde Nast. I’ll show her, I’m gonna get my own with free shipping.
