60+ Gift Ideas For Everyone On Your List

This summer, as you probably noticed through group coupons and online sample sales, Brazilian hair straightening and Keratin treatments were all the rage. As a naturally wavy-haired girl who spends her mornings with a hair dryer and flat iron to get my desired results, I went for a Keratin treatment.

It was time consuming (2 hours), expensive ($200)  and high maintenance: I couldn’t tuck my hair behind my ear or get it wet for two days of pure torture. It made my hair more manageable, but after reading  reports about harmful chemicals found in them,  I’d rather not take the risk again.

Good thing I found a better alternative. Click here to meet your new (under $15) godsend:

Paul Mitchell’s Super Skinny Relaxing Balm ($12.15, currently on sale from $18) has a remarkable effect on my hair: it actually softens the kinks, curls and waves, making my hair feel straighter, and more easy to manage. I still blowdry my  hair, but it doesn’t take nearly as long. And at this price, it’s not a huge investment, but between you and me, I would actually pay more for it, it’s that good. Try it for yourself and let me know what you think.
